Love the place it has everything you need get in ahape
Nice facilities. Lockers have wood laminate, which looks expensive on surface. There's a laps pool, and full indoor basketball court. Baisc gym equipment, but mostly machines. Small dedicated cardio area. Price is high, at like $60 a month, if I remember correctly. I was also offered a job interview by the owner, but they did not show up (not penalizing score for this; make your own judgement. I'm rating facility and general staff). Oh, staff was very friendly.
Great experience. Worked with Ritchie, the Assistant General Manager. He went out of his way for my sister and I. Answered all our questions, gave us time to think about our decision, and made sure we felt welcomed. Loving this gym so far!
Different exercise classes such as yoga, zumba , mat pilates etc with good instructor along with all gym equipment made this a great choice for anybody looking for getting fit. Highly recommended. Although charges are high.
Came to sign up today, spoke with the fitness sales manager, robert g, who said he was the general manager of the entire gym, and he was unbelievably rude. No manners, no people skills, told me something completely different about pricing when you sign up then the other sales person i spoke with yesterday. The gym was filthy. The bathrooms were dirty and unkept. The hot tub was really dirty. No spray to clean the equipment. The treadmill and elliptical were disgusting and caked with dirt and there was trash littered all over the floor across the gym.
Robert g has no business working with the public. He tried to keep my id while i worked out saying it was protocol and when i asked why he threw the id back at me and said buddy you can keep it its just protocol. I cant stress enough how rude he was. 0/10 would not even recommend this gym on a free day pass.
This gym is amazing! I definitely would recommend to my friend because it has all the equipment, classes and motivation I need to get my goals set. Great gym. Great staff too
Was lied to about the price and perks when signing up. The basketball court and/or hoop is damaged for months at a time. Employees are constantly late, often times waiting 30 minutes for somebody to open up. Poorly run.

I have been going to LA Fitness for almost 2 yrs.now. A special thank you to Richard (Rico) King a trainer who works at the Cranston gym. I have been dealing with minor physical problems that he has helped me immensely. He takes the time to know his clients needs. I fine him very knowledgeable and passionate about fitness. He has a vibrant personality, energetic, caring and full of vim and vigor. LA Fitness is so lucky to have him

Love this Gym, this is a great facility. They have everything i need to get a great workout. The staff is awesome allong with the management. I would definitely suggest you check it out if your looking for a new gym.

Nice Gym with all the amenities every other LA fitness offers. The pool is decent sized. One thing I have noticed about this gym , there are not many women that come here. The only time I see other females is for a Zumba class but other than that alot of beefy guys (which I don't mind). I have come on weekend mornings and weekdays after 9pm and machines are always available which is a plus! The basketball court is also decent sized and usually packed. Overall it's a clean gym that rarely has broken down machines and not like most gyms this one has about 5-6 stair masters which is great as other gyms typically have 4 and one is always broken down lol Never had to wait for a machine !

All in all a good gym. Great variety of equipment and services. They have a huge wright room, spin room, saunas, aerobics, basketball court and heavy bags. Lots of great ways to stay in shape. Thos gym has a high volume of people so cleanliness can be an issue. I wpuld like to see them do a bit more to kerp up with cleaning and maintenance to keep up with the crowds
Robert was very helpful and easy to talk to, the gym was clean and well laid out plenty of exercise equipment/ free weights.
I always come to this location when I am in town!! The usual branch I go to in CT is so disgusting but unfortunately it's the closest one to me at home. This location is very busy but so it is sometimes hard to get certain weights or machines but business is a testament to the good job they do. I read a couple other reviews that say its dirty and weights are left everywhere but from my experiences, I do not seen those issues here. Could be desensitized as those complaints are legitimate for the Newington location but this location I give a big thumbs up! Love the machines and all the different free weight options, the spin bikes are new and the machines upstairs for cardio are all nice and new too. Another perk is "the power bar" I love their protein shakes! They're doing a good job in my opinion
When i first Walk in To inroll they got me waiting 15 minutes while they where all chatting with one other and the person that was supposed to show me around the gym was on her phone chatting as well. When I was about no to live the came to me. No work ethics. The pool smell too much like Clorox, that I wouldn't even dear to jump in that water plus the water looks dirty. The woman locker rooms where filthy. The only thing I truly like was the big room where they have private classes that when is empty I can workout alone. Need better training on their employ not much the front desk but the one that you inroll with.
Staff was very helpfull in helping me solve my issue. Would come back! Great gym and friendly staff!
I've been a member of LA Fitness for a while - thank goodness I have a multiclub pass and can workout at other branches. This branch is, by far, the worst. The Ladies' locker room is always filthy! The floors look like they haven't been cleaned since they opened, countertops have dried up lotion on them and the water in the bathroom area is always ice cold. Not to mention, the last few times I was there the person at the front desk smelled of weed. It would seem to me that if you're promoting good health and working out you'd smoke the weed on your own time, at home, not on your breaks. Other area branches are much cleaner with classier staffing. Try them out.

i am being charge 29.99/month for a single club when it is being offered for 24.99 online. Shouldn't matter if this is a new promotion if its being offered to other people for a lower price someone who has been an established member for years should be able to get the lower pricing. Gym is dirty- the staff is horrible when they aren't ignoring you at the front desk they are talking about their sex lives while they work out on the gym floor they are EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL and rude 2 thumbs down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great equipment, solid pool. Just the lack of cleanliness in the locker rooms, bathrooms and showers I cannot forgive. Bugs everywhere and the floors are just dirty.
I mean, it's a gym, tough to clean with people walking in and out all the time, but come on... figure it out
Not sure about the negative complaints. If you looking for a gym that's personal and "quality" staffing as far as coaching and personality goes then this may not be the gym for you. If you know what your doing and just want to stick you headphones in and get a workout in the place is great.
L.A. Fitness is the finest health club in Rhode Island. I have been a member at several gyms over the past few years, and have never been so satisfied with a membership purchase. The facility offers more than any other in the area, including free fitness classes like yoga and kickboxing. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, capable of helping beginners start their fitness program, or helping advanced members improve their exercise routine. Both the locker room and the gym floor are spotless at all hours of the day. I highly recommend LA fitness to anyone interested in exercising to better themselves.
I have been a member for years, it has swimming pool, sauna, weights, treadmill and a basketball court, I wish this could have a racquet court like the others that I have been.
I offered one star because it is the only way to review, had I had a choice I would rate it minus stars. This place is a joke. The place if filthy, locker room is filthy, smelly and wet! Besides the nightly janitorial service, the place is not cleaned or reorganized by staff who from my observations are there to scan you in and hang out or play with their phones.
The average time I go in there are db's all over in the strangest places, people on there phones, taking up space on machines not working out. You have a slimy looking character who looks like he needs a gym, this guy prays on women and sells his personal training services. It is a circus, I canceled my membership thinking it was just a few off days, yeah... NO. They have a wall that has a sign on it telling people not to lean on it because the drywall is broken up, why not just fix it? Been that way for a long time... I just don't think anyone in management including the owner of this franchise either knows or cares, it's one or the other. I go with cares, otherwise the place would not be in the shape it is in.
There are places that respect their clients, through more than a greeting, they show it by the cleanliness and organization of their establishments.
