As 52 yr old learning BJJ I've had a great experience here. Professor Pereira and the other coaches are very knowledgeable and helpful to the students (kids and adults). Everyone at the gym is friendly and good teammates. Very happy that I have joined. My son (16yrs old high school wrestler) enjoys it too. Highly recommend.

For people talking about money and contracts, if you sign a long term contract, you need to read and understand it before you sign. If you sign a contract you will be expected to honor it.

Great teacher, great team. If your willing to learn the professor is always willing to teach and the team will always help along the way. You learn so much for so little compared to most other gyms. In short words, definitely worth it.

My Fiance has lost 20 pounds since starting to train here and really enjoys the team. Highly recommend for anyone looking to learn BJJ.

Best thing to happen to me. Felt unwelcome at my old academy. I am grateful for the open acceptance to the team and the diversity of our team. I also like that I am now able to have my 6 yr old son train with us

This guy is thief. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THIS GUY. I made a mistake and signed a contract with him and then tried to cancel. But he refused. He took 1500 out of my bank account. Don't give him ur bank accounts info or social security number. He will charge u money and put it on ur credit report. Looks like he's paying people to give him good reviews. This guy belongs in jail.

I started from ground zero a few months ago and am in better condition and learning a lot with the team. At 40 years old I am having a blast pushing myself and learning all I can from the professor and some great guys. It is painful to learn at this age but worth it and much better than I expected. Great team and atmosphere for anyone willing to learn and push themselves!!

Thought Mixed Martial arts would humble someone but not with this guy. Not impressed at all, and for a lack of better words a
"fraud " and a money hungry man.

I've been attending classes at Professor Pereira's school for awhile now, and I've never felt better! A while back I got into Mauy Thai and I loved it, but as a smaller guy I thought it was important to supplement it with some kind of grappling discipline. I did some research and quickly realized Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was for me. Imagine how excited I was to find a place that offered both AND a full gym (I've been trying to get in all around better shape as I'm getting married in a few months). I was able to get in on a special (there isn't a regularly posted price) which meant I pay $80 per month plus cost of my gear. Although the upfront investment is a lot, once you're through with that you get some incredible value. Think of it like this: For about what you would pay at a higher-end gym like Golds, you get the workout space with the same equipment you'd be using there, a class full of people at every skill level who will welcome you and walk with you, options for classes in MMA, boxing, Mauy Thai and jiu jitsu, a Thursday workout group, and the chance to learn crucial self-defense skills while getting into the best shape of your life! By joining you're also becoming part of a global community of practitioners and have the chance to learn some of the most tried and true combat sports around. Professor hails from Brazil and cut his teeth with some of the greatest fighters on the planet. He is very knowledgeable and challenges me to be better and stronger every day. Not only do I feel better when I train, I feel more in control of my body and mind. I'm so much more relaxed and focused and I generally just enjoy life more. If you're just getting into martial arts or are looking to branch out, this place is worth hitting up.

I was looking to get back into martial arts after being out of it for over 8 years. I've been training here for almost a month. But first I had some criteria that I was looking for. 1st thing is the culture of the school, Professor Pereria and the MMA academy team are amazing and always willing to help me when I have questions or offer that extra push when needed. 2 - The knowledge of the instructor - Professor Pereira has a ton of knowledge that he's able to explain to all levels of students. 3 - The workouts, they're awesome, I haven't had the same one since I started, little variations that keep things fresh and interesting. I'm seriously addicted to this place I can't say enough great things. Thanks Team Pereira!

The MMA Academy is a great place to go to for all ages. With the rich history of the team's outstanding success, as well as the many students that show up day in and day out... It really makes this training program the one to join! From awesome training/practices that are always changing and focused on development, to tournaments and bouts, this place is the real deal.

I would suggest anyone that would like to learn or continue to develop their skills to come join Team Pereira and the rest of the MMA Academy. It is truly the BEST place and thee "Go-to" training facility.

Ask yourself what you want. If you want professional, personal, affordable.

I found professional in Professor Pereira. I came in, asked questions, felt comfortable.

In classes, from small children to myself in my 40's, EVERYONE has an option to learn. The speed you learn though, is up to you. The training, the workouts, are all there IF you are WILLING to commit and put the time in.

Team Pereira MAKES it personal.

Affordable yes. This is not Planet Fitness or Gold's people. There are no mirrors. You may get hurt. It's called the MMA Acadamy for good reason. To get ALL of the disciplines under ONE roof, there is no comparison for the dollar.

Here, there are NO individuals. You put in the effort, but EVERYONE learns, is rewarded, and whether you just want to learn and get fit, or train and compete, there is UNLIMITED potential in my eyes.

In the short time I have been here and part of the team, I have no regrets. I will only get out what I put in.

The rest is up to you.
