I did not enjoy the studio ambiance or the rigidity of the bikram instructor I had. Yoga should be an individual practice in the way that works for each person, not a tightly regimented, controlled, and militaristic endeavor. My friend and I who tried Yoga Factory out together both felt the instructor was condescending and not particularly welcoming. I have taken classes in both rooms in the studio and was not pleased with either; both have bright, white light that is not soothing in any way and are filled with mirrors that, though helpful to correct postures in small ways, do not make for a relaxing class. The vinyasa instructor I had was at least a little better, though he did not seem to subscribe to the one breath per movement concept (was flowing much more quickly than that). This studio is also a bit bizarre in that there is no savasana together as a class; the instructor leaves as soon as it starts and people make their way out at their leisure after that. I definitely prefer Yoga Flow, both for the studios and the instructors.
