I can assure all folks of any age, this is the place to be for fitness. Any and all goals can be achieved here. The very best in Pittsburg. A to Z, outstanding if you truly want to change your life through fitness.

Great place to train. The staff is not only friendly but extremely knowledgeable about their given area.

Been going to gyms all my adult life and this one for three years now. It is the best by far and keeps me in the shape of my life. Coming here is easy because I have fun amongst the good people - but am also pushed to train hard.
The equipment and facilities have been continuously upgraded and improved since I've been here. There is a wide variety of equipment, classes, and personal training available here- really something for everyone.
Best gym ever!

Old school vibes with a get it done mentality. This is a great gym for the right price. Friendly staff, upgraded equipment, and a great atmosphere.

Pittsburgh's best gym. Old school vibes, great people, great atmosphere, serious lifters and fighters. If you're serious about your training, this is the place to be. 45lb plates not good enough for you? 100lb plates. 'nuff said.

Great gym with ALMOST no back draws. Well worth the $25/month.

Pros:

- Great atmosphere. I prefer to be left alone while working out, and everyone is very respectful of that. Others chat and hang out, very friendly. There are beginners and experts. Great vibe for anyone.

- Lots of great equipment. Outside of specific strongman or Highland games lifts, I can't imagine many workouts that couldn't fit at Wright's.

- Price is great. Can't beat $25/month outside of Planet Fitness, and PF doesn't have nearly the selection of equipment.

- I haven't been there during peak hours, but I've never had an issue with it being too packed. Pretty calm.

Cons:

- Not a ton of room for Olympic lifting. However, since I've never seen it too packed, it's never been an issue.

- The drinking water tastes terrible. While I highly recommend Wright's, I also recommend you bring your own water. Not sure if this is an issue with the pipes or the municipal water, but it's not a huge deal.

- Definitely could be more mirrors. I like to do a lot of technique-heavy lifting, and more mirrors would be nice. Not too big of a deal, since you can always plan your routine around where the mirrors are.

PROS: Overall, not a bad place to exercise. Plenty of equipment both weight training and cardio, trainers/staff are Respectable.

CONS: Some Housekeeping needed, Equipment needs properly leveled, Need to provide towels with membership, Provide a clean water source (water fountain/faucets produce questionable drinking water).

I perform about 50% of my workouts at home and the other 50% at Wright's. I wouldn't have it any other way...

I've been going to Wright's Gym for eight years now. I find it is an all in one type of facility, from yoga to fighting classes, cross fit and even a tanning bed if your into that. There are no other gyms like this one in the Pittsburgh area. Dave the owner does an excellent job at managing his gym and keeping everything clean and up to date. The only thing missing and that I would like to see added to the gym at some point is a sauna.

I have no idea how anybody could give this place less than 5 stars. Over a year ago i built a home gym and cancelled my membership thinking i didnt need to be spending money on a gym membership anymore. That lasted about 6 months and I missed coming to this place so much that I signed back up again. You will not find a more respectful, helpful staff as well as clientele anywhere else. Top-notch martial arts instructors, great gym equipment (bumper plates!) and good hours too. The home gym gets plenty of use, but I will def not be cancelling my membership here ever again!

This place is a rare combination. On one hand, it's a hard-core weight pit in a basement in Crafton.
On the other hand, it's filled with the most no-nonsense genuine and friendly people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.
The combination of a serious workout facility and a legitimately welcoming atmosphere results in a clientèle that ranges widely in demographic, fitness level, and experience, but I have never seen anyone treated with anything less than 100% respect.
Pretty much the polar opposite of one of those big franchise gyms.

If you want to have a latte while checking out chicks at the gym and look at yourself in the mirror, this is not the place for you. If you want a gym where people are serious about getting strong, built, cut, tough, whatever, this is perfect. For 25 bones a month you won't find a better gym. Dave makes serious efforts to make the gym better. He just recently bought an adjustable box and hyper, heavy bags, new DB benches, bars, etc. It's always improving. Also, respect the gym and it will respect you. Put in the work, put your weights back, spray down the machines, and go home.

This gym is great, everyone was friendly and welcoming, and Krav Maga was fun! What impressed me the most about Wright's Gym is its testament to being a well run, local facility... when I moved out of town for a job change I originally ran into an issue with my contract obligations. David Wright, the owner of Wright's Gym, followed up with me almost immediately and promptly resolved my issue... that down to earth honesty and flexibility is just not present at larger gyms, so it makes this business worthy of support. If you've never tried martial arts or Krav Maga before and are a little self conscious about your lack of experience- don't worry, you will fit right in, & other gym members took me under their wing, too. Great place, I definitely recommend checking it out. =)

Wrights gym is a combination of new cutting edge and old school grind. Whether you are a casual gym goer or a competitive weight lifter the facitily will fit your needs. The classes and martial arts offered at Wright's are taught by talented experienced instructors and are well supervised. The gym is kept very clean and the staff is friendly. If you are looking for a gym in the Pittsburgh area I highly recommend you pay Wright's a visit.

Hands down, best gym I've trained at. The equipment, the weights, the environment...all great for reaching your goals.

Finally, a gym that actually has enough squat racks! Rarely ever have to wait in line for equipment in the free-weight section, abundant benches, barbells and dumbbells to accommodate everyone. Even at peak times, it's not too crowded. Nice open-floor area for those of you who bother doing abs.

I used to love lifting at this gym because it a was a hardcore gym and not a globogym. However, they are gearing more to boxing and self-defense classes. They eliminated 1/3 of the weight room and put 12 heavy bags in the areas that was weights. This has made the gym more crowded and less safe because everything is condensed. The owner put up signs that he was making improvements, but he basically bought some cheap 0-90 benches and newer DBs. Then painted the rest of the equipment. They put away all the strongman type equipment that I would use.

However, for the price ($24.99) it is still a good gym.
