I love this place. Everyone come to do their own thing. Working out at there own pace really.. no judgment they mean that. Lots of equipment to wk with. Staff are willing and able to help just by asking. place is clean too.

Great place to get a basic work out. They recently replaced/upgraded there equipment. Staff at this local could be a bit more focused on the customer and more have personal trainers. There is usually just one and is either already busy or not available.

My experience with Planet Fitness have been positive. It's as advertised. Clean facilities. Plenty of gym for any workout you want. Easy to operate. The personnel are friendly and professional who give us customers a given hand when needed. I would most definitely recommend this gym to do all your exercises, with very nice equipment. Give it a shot, you'll like it.

Perfect location for me. Right on my way home from work. Plenty of equipment. Didn't have to wait for anything. All of it working condition. The staff is friendly and super-helpful. Plenty of parking too.

I do love how close Mayfair location is of a walk from my home. That is the main reason I transferred from Penny Pack location which is ultimately more modern and has more equipment. Would give Mayfair 5 stars if there was a scale in the men's locker room. Also more weight lifting equipment and benches. Other than that, I have no complaints. It can be easily adjusted.

No one at the front desk upon arrival. Not a long wait, though; I think he was cleaning. (Or something of that nature. He wasn't just sitting around or anything.) There is a sign for those going tanning that says, "Please make sure you answer every question on the tanning sign-in form." But then there's no visible clock here like there is at the other PFs', so you gotta get their attention again to ask them what time it is so they have a record of it, (in addition to swiping in and a ton of cameras) because I guess it's important. Then, I was directed to stand-up bed #2. The room was NOT clean. And out of paper towels, which means it couldn't possibly be clean. So I stole some from the neighboring stall so I could clean up the last persons sweat off the floor. The garbage was full. I thought I saw dirt or mud on the floor of the bed, but it was just rust and chipped paint. I tried to turn on the fan because it was so hot, (must be good bulbs - not like the PF in Ewing a couple days ago that had over TEN bulbs out) but I couldn't get it to work. That would explain the puddle of sweat that greeted me at first. I also had to fiddle with the in-unit control pad for a while to stop their music from playing or at least turn it down so I can just have some peace and quiet for 9 minutes. I felt like I deserved it. After all, I just had to wait at the desk, do some paperwork, run over to the other stall, unsuccessfully try to turn on the fan, AND CLEAN THE BED! All that before my tanning session actually started! Not the end of the world, I'm not going to quit or anything, but ya just gotta be careful which ones you tan at, lately. BUT - they ARE primarily a gym, NOT a tanning salon. I just don't remember it being so painfully obvious. Hey - they're not a pizza shop or a bagel house or a candy store or a clothing boutique either, but it's all there, too! Jack of all trades, master of none. I've been a member for many years, and I've paid $20/mo for many years STRICTLY just too use their 24/7 tanning facilities. I pay DOUBLE what the people who come there every day and eat and watch TV and wander around for hours and touch every machine and shower at PF pay a month. So don't forget about your tanning-only members. We are the ideal customer! $20/mo, short visits, and no wear and tear on the gym equipment, and we usually disappear all winter long (while still continuing to send you money, no less.) I just want things to be clean, and I want to be in-and-out quickly. That is all.

It's everything you need and should expect from a gym that'll cost you $10 a month. It's clean well taken care of and convenient to get to.

As of July 11, 2018 I was advised the air conditioning will not be fixed right now as the a/c workers have been pulled off Mayfair's PF to work on a new PF being built. The a/c hasn't been working for a few yrs now. I cannot easily drive to the Red Lion location b/c of my schedule, and frankly, why should i??? Do I understand correctly that the owner of this franchise cannot hire more than one group of air conditioning mechanics to replace the Mayfair location??? I've been aware of this problem for so long now that I have not made use of my membership to warrant a monthly charge. This air quality in this gym is not up to code and the health of people working out in illegal conditions can mean you might have people getting sick - air quality isn't a choice, it is a legal code and health hazard. Why no response from this franchise owner??? You have people of all ages and health conditions and we all deserve better. I plan on filing a complaint with the BBB and contacting places that report on this type of situation...i.e. Channel Six loves to investigate and report stories of this type.

To the owner of this franchise - I am a black card holder at this gym for a few years and when I joined, the gym was fine and Danny Clarke was so helpful as I was recuperating from surgery on my knee. I was told you own this gym as part of your franchise. Your gym at Red Lion is huge and when I went there the manager told me you are replacing the air conditioning unit in Mayfair last. For two years it hasn't worked right. Yesterday, June 18, 2018, the girl answering the phone at Mayfair told me the air cond. worker is scheduled to come out by the end of the week. So this problem has been established over and over again - I was there one time when he was trying to work on the a/c and he said the air isn't reaching the people working out. Can you please tell me when you plan on replacing this a/c before I have to quit. It is illegal to not provide clean, cool, circulating a/c. You have lost customers due to this. PS: Some equipment (like elipticals) are breaking and they are unusable. Someone is going to get hurt. Please reply. Thanks.

Was told by the staff that they got an email to turn the air on - went in and it registered above 77 degrees on the thermostat. I asked again about this and they said to try to work out under the fans - I've never encountered this before in the gyms I belonged to. The least they should do is replace this air conditioning unit as it hasn't worked in a few years. PF on Grant Ave has theirs set and works fine. Are Mayfair area members not worth it? Why have a gym in this convenient location and not provide the basics? Will be looking for a new gym. Many other members have complained also - I think they quit b/c of this. I work out on an eliptical there and could get a better work out if I could breathe. UPDATE: Was told today the air conditioner guy will be out to this gym by the end of the week, so the problem has been established multiple times, but this guy has told me and other clients that the air is unable to reach down to where we are working out. A NEW air conditioner is needed and until that is done, nothing changes here. It's in the 90's outside now and who wants to work out w/o cool air. I was told to go to the back of the gym where it might be cooler. Might try the Red Lion Planet Fitness if I can manage that in my schedule. June 19, 2018

The staff is pleasant and welcoming, the gym is a little small maybe you should think about expanding into the 2 empty stores on either side and add more equipment, there doesn't seem to be enough as this gym is very busy. I've noticed some newer pf have 2 floors with tons of stuff this one doesn't have. My complaint is some of the members at this gym. I'm guessing this unlimited visitors thing is a big part of the problem. I'm at this gym almost everyday I haven't seen so many new faces as I have seen in this past 2 weeks and they don't follow the rules. They talk on the phone wherever they want,(rules clearly states only in the lobby), they sit on gym equipment on their cells instead of using the machine there tying up, they wear clothes against policy and the biggest issue is not wiping down equipment after the use.. they sweat all over it and walk away. Not only is it against policy, its disgusting. I just had to leave after watching 2 people go from machine to machine to machine without wiping not one of them down, while there busy dancing around. after wiping down the first 2 after them before I could use it, i decided I had to leave. I pay the same as everyone else, I shouldn't have to wipe down machines because there to lazy to do it.

SOOOO MUCH BETTER!! I was always hesitant on leaving a negative review for this place, but seems like these staff and the atmosphere has changed. I am NOW greeted with friendly faces and treated respectfully. Some of the staff before we're rude, stuck up, and not friendly. The fact that I work late helps bc it isn't usually too crowded. The new stand up tanning bed rocks! Just really really wish this gym had StairMasters. Then it would be PERFECT. They are always being used at the other gyms I go to. Thanks for the workouts!

Been a PF member for 7 years. Quitting bc of this very gym. It is so crowded. There is wait for every machiene, even treadmills. The machienes are so beat. The facility isnt clean and is lacking basic equipment such as mats and medballs. They never update. They slap new stickers on machienes and call it new. For 15 a month I have found way better gyms.

The equipment is generally in good repair and one has access to most things in a timely manner. Some patrons have difficulty putting things back in their proper place after use and the staff refuses to crack down. I've never once heard the"lunk alarm" go off in this place. And as soon as people see no one cares about the little things then one tends to develop bigger problems.

I have recently signed up at Planet Fitness and the people who work there are very helpful and polite. As soon as I walk in the one girl knows my name right away. They are constantly cleaning the place everytime I am here. The trainer was great with setting up a program for me. I highly recommend this place I even upgraded so I can bring my son with me.
