Pretty good gym has the basic workout equipment. Machines and free weights.

Rarely opens on time. Always dirty and smells bad. The AC is hardly ever on. Its terrible

I don't even know where to begin with this club. My professional experience aside, I have never seen a more run down and more unprofessional gym in my life. The gym itself is atrocious and the simplest things show.
1) Not having your paper towels in a dispenser and having it on the floor of the dirty gym.
2) Not having any hand sanitizer in a dispenser.
3) Not having any hand soap in a dispenser and having it come from a "soft soap" dispenser.
4) Dirty bathroom floor.
5) Dirty gym floor.
6) Inappropriate " Scream-o" music
And last but not least the invisible staff that doesn't exist behind the front desk...
Went in for a workout last night around 6:45pm and didn't see one employee working behind the front desk through out my entire workout. I ended up cutting my hand on a piece of equipment and went to the front desk to find NO ONE working. Eventually I gave up and ended up pulling a kid off the floor that worked for the Retro. If my friend wouldn't have told me that he worked there I would never know. I'm pretty sure the kid was suppose to be on shift behind the front desk.
I approached the kid while he was in the middle of HIS workout, and asked him for a band aid. As he looks for the band aid at the front desk, a member walked in, and said "Yo man, what have you been doing! You got so big!" The kid walks over to him with the band aids in hand and starts to have conversation with him....
As I'm standing there bleeding, waiting for a simple band aid. Kid! Turn around and give me the band aid and then finish your conversation.
After finally getting a band aid from the kid. I walked away and still haven't seen anyone working behind the front desk.
This place is awfully managed. Just a disgusting member experience.

They don't even have the air conditioning on when it's in the high 90s, feels like a sauna. This place should be shut down from the NJ Board of Health.
This gym is gross. I am an outside sales rep so I use my Retro membership all over New Jersey. In the last few months I have hit the Retro's in Egg Harbor, Bordentown, Moorestown, Lumberton, and Freehold. Today I hit Bellmawr for the first time and the locker room was in very poor shape. In the locker room there was a really bad looming smell that never left from when I entered to when I left an hour later. Gross stains on the walls and even the shower ceilings, and just a general uncleanly-sticky-stained feel all over the bathroom, the floors, the lockers, the bench etc. The toilet paper wasn't on the roll but instead on top of the toiletbowl bowl right under the handle. Actual gym was fine, no complaints. But one of the benefits I like about going to a gym in the morning is the cleanliness, that the place was cleaned either at the end of the night or beginning of the day. Clearly they did not do that at Retro Bellmawr today, major turn off.
The Owner is a joke!!! By lying to his members about the Gloucester TWP opening it's been a year and nothing yet.. taking memberships and people are paying and the place is not open yet.. what a Douche Bag... & Bellmawr locker is horrible & Nasty..carpet smells... You Should of kept the gym in Turnersville open it was the best one ... but you guys lied to us members and close the place down without a notice and said the Gloucester TWP gym will be open in 4 weeks and it's been a year !!! Stay away from bellmawr I heard they are closing that also .. I heard from a person who works their with real close ties to owners.... get out while you can

Glad there is NEW MANAGEMENT! Finally! The place will be cleaned up and get new equipment! I am joining now with my two friends. Cannot wait! Before it was dirty and the manager (a woman no less) had a filthy mouth, non stop cursing! The place was filthy! Management means everything and the old management was horrible! Now the new manager explained that CHANGES are coming and all will be SPOTLESS and state of the art! We need that in town! Good luck! !
