I visited this location early this week and asked Flavia for help with the arm machine. She was so polite and what stood out to me is that she re-cleaned the machine before letting me use it. For those of you afraid of the virus going around, this gym is one of the cleanest locations and the employees are very nice. It's good to see that the staff are staying on top of the situation.
Review for new gym on Chestnut: So I went to the new gym today. It is beautiful and clean, of course. The gentleman at the front desk kindly gave me the rundown of the place. The locker rooms are pretty bougie for Planet Fitness (not complaining), and its lovely space overall.
It is what it is.
Love the cleaning schedule, with so many people doing new year's resolutions, it's super important to keep the place clean.
Also, dropped my debit card in there, someone returned it the front desk and I got it back. Forever good vibez.
You do the work, you get the rewards.
Very different vibe from some other locations I've been to, this one seems to have a much younger, more fit crowd - but i guess that goes with the gentrification trend of the neighborhood. Younger people with more money usually are healthier. Anyway, its def not the most laid back gym and i was a little thrown off when I first got there because everyone is facing each other doing everything - the 30min Circuit is literally right in the middle of the room and both sides are staring right at you. Altho its super nice, if you are an anxious beginner you might want to try a different location first til you get the hang of the machines and a routine down, or bring a friend to help pass the time
Personally not a fan of Planet Fitness's concept of a judgement zone when they judge people. However, this Planet Fitness has made an impression on me. First, the customer service team were very polite and helpful. Customer service members help with questions, re-racking equipment, and getting promotions. Secondly, the multitude and variety of equipment made it smooth to workout. Besides peak hours there's very minimal wait time for equipment. Thirdly, excluding the bathroom the gym was clean. Planet Fitness staff does a great job enforcing cleaning equipment policy. Lastly, the parking lot is a nice size but the lines aren't as visible and there are a lot of pot holes.
Private stall showers in the female locker room, lagged changing room, a wide variety of equipment. They feature the newer versions of the stair master that had larger foot pads. Huge Windows to see outside do you ding feel liked you are a tomb. Cons the Smith machine bars are a bit worn out staff didnt greet me when I came in or when I left.
I love the staff and the environment. Everyone is so helpful and friendly I enjoyed my time there
Very clean! I am a new member. I walked around checking things out, bathroom etc. Always available parking. Nice staff. A nice close workout place...

Nice place to go early in the morning hardly any other people there and you don't have to rush and take your time
Great staff and good monthly price.
Negatives are machines need to have weights remarked. Many stickers are worn off. Free weight area needs to be at least 1/3 bigger. Wait times for these is extensive. Showers need shampoo. Other planet fitness locations have this and so should this one.

Big gym, staff is nice and the price cannot be beat for $10 per month. Best to wait for one of their specials that waives or at least significantly discounts their sign up fee, and it's totally worth joining. I still like to take private classes outside the gym since planet fitness doesn't really have classes.

nice place and great people , Great place to workout!! , i am here only for two months but it's worth it to get prepare for the summer
They'll get you for as much money as they can. They'll deceive you and smile in your face while doing so. They only care about your dollar. Doesn't matter if you use their equipment or even check in. The staff is unprofessional and of the lower class of citizens. The ignorance supercedes their exercise experience. The bathroom/lockerrooms are disgusting. It smells at the doorway. The floors are dirty. Just poorly maintained. Limited equipment. Overpriced items.
No wonder it's membership is so inexpensive!
A nice gym especially for the price. When its crowded, its crowded and you will have to change up your routine or be patient. But it's a good crowd of people who are nice. Not enough dumbbells and they only go up to 60lbs.... but you can't beat 10 bucks a month to use a gym so I'm in!

This a gym. People go here to workout and stuff. They have big flatscreens and you can plug your headphones into the machines to listen to what's on the screens. This is the biggest flaw with P.F. imo. Like, almost half of the TVs are stuck on cable news channels and it's a hell. I would prefer to go the gym and not have to look at all those dopes but at $10/month you pay for you get, etc.
Very good place to work out and just be yourself.
Spacious never really overcrowded. Always super clean!
Good gym. It's clean. There's usually free treadmills even when it's busy. But they need more 5-15 lb free weights. Bc there are never any free during peak hours.
The locker room area is dirty specificly the shower and changing room stalls the walls are grossly. They dont have hot water at times. Most of the employees are lazy and rude to making comments! 3 males that have been there years back after rejoining 3 months ago continue to have the same problems.
i am trying to understand why i have a membership. gym is clean but the shower are nasty and water is always closed. I asked the staff if there was way to get HOT WATER. She said that someone would have to come out. it is closed outside there is no reason why i have to take a cold shower and walk on it the cold.
Love this place. Has just the right amount of equipment and space to move around. Even when it's crowded
If you're looking to bulk or lift heavy planet fitness isn't for you. Great for cardio and anybody new to lifting
It's a nice gym I just don't feel the employees are as nice as my home gym in Mayfair Shopping Center.
Nice place to work out. Both the trainer and the staff are really nice. Most people go there to work out and do not talk to strangers (this is a good thing for women).
Really nice open place, like most planet fitness shops but this one has exceptional showers. I would ask for hooks tho
