A real gem of a place. Words really can't describe the experience this space offers. I have so much gratitude for this space and all of the teachers and learners within it.
A few years ago, a group of friends and I decided to explore all the yoga studios within a 5 mile radius. We wanted to find a place that was nurturing, open, and safe and would be more than just a physical experience. As yoga is union with god, we were seeking the studio and the individuals who truly embody that. When we took Dawn's class, we realized that we had found it - Dawn is MotherHeart. She is love, protection, and fierce warrior. Each class is a spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional experience where you're able to arrive at a greater understanding of yourself.
Yoga teachers, and studios offering this quality of teaching are far and few in between. My experience with Motherheart Yoga Sangha and Dawn Smelser has been nothing short of life changing. . So much that I went on to take a 200hr Yoga teacher training with Dawn. Dawn cares for everyone that enters the studio and seems to know what everyone is needing without a word being spoken. She is a gem and a true gift in the western world of Yoga. If in the Philly area and practice Yoga, do yourself a favor a take a class with Dawn or one of their other offerings. You won't be disappointed.
