Mysore Philadelphia is an incredible community, led by a smart, thoughtful, empathetic and skilled teacher.

Mysore Philadelphia is a wonderful and energetic program. Meg has an incredible depth of knowledge and genuinely loves to share with others. She works expertly with students of varying experience, condition, health, and age. Highly recommended for first-time students as well as those who have been practicing daily for many years. Thanks to Meg and the other students here, the atmosphere is warm, free of pretense, and full of joy.

Finally! Everything you wanted in an Ashtanga program, and more!
Meghan is a great teacher - thoughtful, knowledgable, energetic, present, and committed to the ashtanga community in Philadelphia. Amrita is a VERY beautiful studio, and the practice room and vibe here is fantastic. There are showers and changing rooms, a lounge area, easy free parking in the neighborhood, etc. Appropriate for longtime or beginning students both.

The thing that stands out most about Meghan is her clear dedication to Ashtanga Yoga, the lineage, and the people that come to learn from her. I liken Meghan to being the albus dumbledore of Ashtanga-- she is extremely knowledgeable, she is very good at connecting with students individually, and she is someone that you just genuinely love to be around. Morning practice with the Mysore Philadelphia community leaves you with an indescribable glow for the rest of the day. You won't be disappointed!

Over the past year, I have gained greater insight into how to approach my daily breath and asana puzzles by working with Meghan Kirk, a committed teacher with great depths of awareness in working with those of us drawn to the Mysore style of Ashtanga yoga. She promotes a respectful communal space where private revelations and the subtleties of the practice can thrive. Under her guidance, I feel able to integrate disparate parts of my self to overcome the seemingly insurmountable (aging, injury, worry, fatigue) in favor of a sense of integrating, rather than rejecting any of it. A mystery worth exploring with a talented teacher.
