Highly impressed with knowledge of all CrossFit instructors and coaches. They take the time to work with each individual to make sure form is correct and weight is within reason. You are in good hands at CrossFit Novem!
Great place to call home
Sad to have to leave for Seattle. Have been solely training at Novem with head coach Joe Ling since the beginning of the new year and have seen incredible gains. Joe has been keeping the heat on at day 1 and is extremely knowledgable about crossfit but more specifically weightlifting. I have seen remarkable progress since I have started training and hope to find a coach of equal quality when I move out to Seattle. Anyone who is seriously considering training in the Philadelphia area should choose Novem as their HQ. The owners have just expanded their gym and it looks great: always clean with a professional atmosphere. What I enjoyed the most about working with Joe was the attention to detail and his help with tracking all my workouts in a Google spreadsheet. I travel a lot so having a coach in the Ukraine or Puerto Rico look at Joe's notes helps me stay right on track with my fitness goals. Rates have always been reasonable. I have 0 complaints. If you want to get strong, train here.

I decamped from another CrossFit gym in Philadelphia after being there for a little over 2 years to Novem. The difference could not be more pronounced. At Novem, they actually care about you as a person, rather than treating you as a faceless, nameless walking dollar sign (like the other place did). All they care about is to help you reach your maximum potential. Novem is run like a CrossFit gym should be, old school, with no pretension, no cliques and no drama (unlike the other place). In the 10 months I have been at Novem, I have made more progress than I did over 2 years at the old place - that's how great Novem's programing and coaches are.

CrossFit Novem is an incredible fitness facility. The coaches are amazing at assessing the individual needs of each member and repeatedly impress me with their drive to improve each individual athlete. I've seen people with very little athletic background become confident and strong individuals at this gym. Amazing all around.
Joining Novem exists among the best decisions I've ever made. On the spectrum of physical gifts, I'm a mathlete. Nevertheless, all coaches help me see the potential in every WOD. Patrons remain supportive and inspiring. Owners operate from a seemingly endless font of possibility.
