Been climbing here for about 6 months now almost weekly.
Routes are long and fun, though I do agree with some reviewers that the main way they increase difficulty is by having larger moves. This can be fun when there are big dyno moves involved but the other side of it is some really annoying "hug the wall and smear" moves to get to the next holds if you're under 6'5".
Staff seems to be hit or miss, several of the employees are absolutely stellar, friendly, and willing to chat about routes. Others seem to be dependent on what day you catch them on.
Equipment is really the only thing I can criticize. Some ropes are brand new and others have the sheaths stretched badly and the cores twisted which makes belaying a PITA. Their rental carabineers are a total crapshoot, some are new and some are in questionable condition. I prefer to tie myself into ropes but, unlike other reviewers, I've never seen any reason to question the pre-tied figure 8 follow throughs. They are all tied fine and the rational is it's a liability thing for insurance. They don't have to rely on the climber knowing a "skill" they just have to clip in. Not a big deal.
All in all I really like this gym, I just wish they would freshen up their ropes.
