It's more convenient living in North philly it's a shame of the distance of people w/o insurance other than that transportation and shopping is very close

Clean small y. Friendly staff, nice machines. Pool seems chilly to me. Lol

Love this place. Classes are awesome. Bathrooms run out of soap frequently

My favorite part of the day

The monthly plans are ridiculously high. The Y should be a more affordable place than commercial gyms, but IT IS NOT! It's not for the community any more.

I had a temporary membership about three years ago . I now have a full membership. Best thing ever .

The YMCA has helped keep me on the right path for sometime now. Thankful for good health.

The barely let you play in the pools but it's still fun. Water don't be cold for real.

Not much to do for girls besides swim and workout (Only 10 and up). The game room needs a snack machine/bar or a short cooking class. I wish that they had a tennis/soccer space indoor and outdoor, since the basketball gym is always packed. Its a waste of money if your a girl under 10.. That's the reason we left. Its boring, too small and a lot of boys running around.

Great place for my children. They're in summer camp and they have a lot of activities for them.

Mike is awesome water aerobics trainer. You will always leave his class refreshed and energetic. It is worth the commute.

Upon entering this facility the desk clerk was very helpful, he directed me to where I needed to go. Information he looked up online for me his customer service was very satisfying. I thank him for his help.

I love this Y. It's small but it's homey. The staff is wonderful. I wish I could give it a 5 star rating, but the fact it's so small takes away from the greater things it could be. A bigger gym and pool would be nice.

It's ok... Could be more professional. It's like a school gym divided into two. The classes offered are what's most attractive

My son is 13 now and has been taking swimming lessons regularly for 4 years at this Y. Swim instructors are excellent. Management worked with us so his lessons are custom fit for him - he is interested in being a life guard in the future. Front desk staff are caring and want to help members. This Y is the heart of an established neighborhood that borders on Temple U. Nearby areas are gentrifying. There are lots of little kids in here getting a great Y experience. The Y is a nonprofit, equipment and facilities could all be better. The org really needs to fundraise to make this place bigger and pay staff better. The pool is too small. We have been coming here since my son was a baby and we love this place. Its no fancy gym. Its homey and a hub for a diverse community. They do great things. If you want a fancy place to workout and swim, go to a fitness place and pay for it. The Y is super affordable.

Decent gym. 25 yard pool with 3'6" shallow end. Pool temp varies wildly, and is sometimes too hot for serious lap swimming.

Friendly staff and a real community feel. Pool has 3 dedicated swimming lanes and an open area for aquatic classes. Two workout rooms for classes as well as a general gym with machines and free weights. Also have a daycare center and area for kids to hang out and play video games.

I'm currently a member of the YMCA under the silver sneakers program. This why has done a great deal in terms of an exercise room and a lot of good classes for both younger people and seniors. Clean Brite and the staff will help you in any way they can. Try it you might just like it.

I use to actually like this YMCA until recently. The front desk is the absolute worse....rude teenagers and everyone is confused. The communication sucks! They need to rehire the people they had 4 yeara ago. The teenagers run around and curse with no supervision. The swim classes are cancelled and it took months to receive a refund. The weights are old and beat up...the best thing there is the pool.

October 19, 2017 08:48

Everything is awesome except for their communication - both amongst staff & with the members. Love the pool, child watch, dance & gym instructors are awesome, and Fabiola is a boss.

"Very friendly staff, clean workout enviorment, what more could you ask for"......I told myself 2 weeks in, then my goggles were stolen in the locker room. Numerous children are left unattended to run, leave showers running and yell though out the locker rooms; pool is only 5 ft deep, and pet rocks are friendlier then the staff they keep on. Went back there one time because of convince and I regretted every second of it, so I left.

Small Gym Not Enough Equipment. "Employees need alot of work". Nice place but needs to expand. Better management over teenager's & younger children.
