Joining CrossFit University City has been one of the best and most impactful decisions of my adult life. There are lots of gyms and lots of places you could go to get in shape. What makes this place special is the people who run it and the community they've created. First off, the coaches are extremely knowledgeable and they go out of their way to make sure your form and technique are correct. Aside from that, and perhaps more importantly, they are genuinely good people. For example, the gym is very heavily involved with a number of non-profit organizations and even organizes and hosts its own annual black tie fundraising gala to benefit the Travis Manion Foundation. Since joining CrossFit University, I've gotten to participate in TMF events, the 9/11 Heroes Run, and an event to raise awareness for people suffering from addiction. This is not something you'd get to do at a regular gym. In short, not only has CrossFit University helped me get into shape (if you've never done CrossFit before, trust me, it works), but it's given me a platform to give back to the community and spend my time with good people who I genuinely enjoy being around. The hour I spend at U-City is 100% the best hour of my day, and I consider myself extremely lucky to have found this place. If you're even the slightest bit curious about CrossFit, I highly recommend coming in and giving it a try. You won't regret it.
