A good place to get your "sweat" on as the name suggest. Many new-fangled gym machines to help build your muscles. The black and yellow theme and inspirational grunts from other patrons will bring out the true warrior inside

Cool place with having all the needed equipment. The Instructors very knowledgeable and guide the people nicely . The atmosphere was motivated and the people came over there are friendly too. The charges were also decent. Good job !

I met this guy named Jim Viola ( club durector) cocky, rude and total racist. I do not recommend this gym whatsoever and I really hope they shut this one down. It is extremely small and they have no equipment in there whatsoever I am definitely thinking about switching my membership to another gym

It smells so bad as soon as you walk in... thy gym is tiny, equipment super old and not in perfect working condition.

We came from another gym that closed down and we were moved here. Our other gym was also old, but never smelled bad and the old equipment was kept in working order.

Also, there is only one of everything, so on a busy day get ready to wait. Locker rooms are disgusting and super rundown.

The only reason they got 2 stars is that the staff is great, very helpful and assisted when we first started going and were very helpful when canceling our membership.

So yesterday, at around 11am-12pm, when it was very hot outside, my friend and I decided to go on a long run. (both of us very capable and athletic) While were over halfway through but still three miles away from home my friend becomes very light headed and starts to feel sick. I leave the trail and enter the main street hoping for some help.To my relief I see this gym and enter to the front desk. I tell a young women what had happen and asked from any type of water cup or help. She said she can't do anything but I can buy a drink. I look at her and then look down at myself. I was wearing a sports bra and nike pros and really wonder where she thinks I was going to pull money out from. I finish the quick conversation with a final, "so there's nothing you can do?"
I wasn't looking for free anything I understand she may not have that authority but the attitude toward our situation was very frustrating to me. I felt very much like she just sat there and said "no" while my friend was unwell. This isn't the first time I've entered a facility/gym/bikestore/gas station in need of help during a long run or bike ride but I've never been turned down in such a rude manner before.
I sincerely hope this isn't how this company trains employees to treat the members of the community but I'll be sure to share my encounter with any of my friends who are interested in joining a gym in philly.

Just signed up for the "No Commitment No Enrollment" plan, which costs 50% more per month to avoid the annual plan. Jokes on me. Though many a reasonable person would surely be forgiven for thinking that's a monthly plan, it actually requires a 60-day notice to cancel, making your one-month membership a three-month membership. Really deceptive trade practice. I'm incredibly frustrated.

UPDATE: In response to the company's response below, I'll be more than happy to delete my review once you've removed that manipulative clause from your "No Commitment No Enrollment" contracts. Until then, you're engaging in deceptive advertising, so the post stays.

Great neighborhood gym, free classes with all gym memberships, and the personal training staff is amazing. It is the first location, so that means it's the oldest, and the wear and tear shows pretty heavily. Working out in the morning is great, they play the oldies. High usage times are around 5-9...and it can get pretty rank due to the small space, so just beware of what times you go.

if you are looking for space and equipment, this place is good. Otherwise, it has no frills or extras. The people are very nice and it doesn't get too crowded.

Horrible customer service. My boyfriend moved to the area and got a membership, it was a very easy commute from his house. He's been needing to get out of the contract since he is no longer in the area and they won't do anything to help! It's just like throwing away money for nothing. They are still trying to make him pay even though he won't be using the facility at all!

The gym is nice but needs equipment cleaning and women's floors needs mopping.

Decent gym. They make good use of the space. Machines could use an update

Absolutely one of my favorite gyms in the city. I joined Sweat when starting my MBA in Philly. The gym has every type of equipment one could want or need, and all of it is very well maintained. The gym as a whole is kept extremely clean, equipment up to date, and machines working. The classes offered are a huge bonus, and the price for everything is extremely good for what you will get. Also became very good friends with the staff - some of the friendliest that I have interacted with in any gym! Highly recommend going, especially if you want to try a trainer, they have some of the best in the city.

I liked this gym! I appreciated that they had towel service and adequate squat racks, a rarity in the city

Terribly dirty place. Classes were fun but I got an infection here from the gym matts. The Manager was very accusatory of me lying about it and even after a doctors note, recently mocked me in the street when we crossed paths. I will never return to this gym and had it not been for the rude remarks made when crossing paths, I never would have posted this review about the manager. Now I feel the need to let others know, including my friends or anyone who mentions the place. This guy should not be managing this place since 5 months after terminating my contract he holds such grudges. That's clearly too personal. Get a life.

needed to speak to a manager and was immediately hung up on. I called back and they picked up and hung up. I called from another phone, same man picked up and I asked for a manager and he told me to call coorperate and hung up. that's exactly what ill be doing, prick

I love this gym! The price is great, it is clean and bright, and the staff is friendly and helpful. There is a good selection of free weights, and lots of barbells for deadlifts, Olympic lifts, etc. They also have two nice separate rooms for stretching, core, ropes, sled pushes, etc. My only request would be an additional squat rack, but the gym goers are always friendly and willing to let you work in if equipment is in use.
