Great diverse problems for bouldering. The staff is awesome and friendly. It's not the fanciest gym and it can get crowded, but it's got a great community and a welcoming atmosphere!
We had our daughter's birthday party there. The team that managed the event was very professional, super friendly and with tons of patience. Everyone really enjoyed it, even a few of the parents tried climbing too. We had about 20 kids. Pizza and soft drinks were included and it was less expensive than other options we checked. Parents were excited even the day after when we dropped her off at school.

Great place to go bouldering and hang out. Super friendly/ knowledgeable staff and a good community. Here comes the but... The owner could really upgrade some of the equipment. The pads are super old and moving them around is kinda annoying. Maybe also some more love to the general gym machines. All in all its a great climbing gym!
AMAZING, did i say amazing? Because the experience was one to remember. The people are great, its never a dull moment, lots of different obsticals to climb. Great intsructor, rentals affordable, snack bar, warm up section.. I give this place an A+ Will deff visit again.
Great bouldering selection and overall good gym. A tad pricey, but it fits the area. Not a great place to sport climb, but oaks isnt too far.

Went climbing in red river gorge, KY and a group of 22 people (the high school team from philedelphia rock gym) were at the only dry wall in the area, hogging every single route at the wall. I have been climbing in that area for years and have never met a group that large, obnoxious, and inconsiderate.

Dear Management! I just want to reach out and let you know how wildly impressed I was with your instructors Evie, Josie and Tim! My niece had her 9th birthday party this weekend and she had about 13 of her friends ranging from 4 years old to 10 years old. The instructors did a masterful job of helping the children find the courage to take that #omg first step; which leads to another big step; which led to the kids completing a wall scale! And then competing with grit and determination against each other in a short period of time! A lot of fun to watch! The kids gained so much self-confidence, self-esteem courage and #fearlessness! Thank you all for your patience and your hard work! All of you should be really proud of your efforts and are truly are the best in your craft! Really beyond the best! You are really building a special institution for higher learning and personal development! Keep up spectacular work! Thank you Evie, Josie and Tim! Phenomenal job! Best, Keith

Given this, PRG-East Falls is among the best indoor bouldering gyms I've ever been to. Great climbs for both novices and experts alike, friendly staff. Tons of options. However if you want rope climbing I would suggest you look to another gym. The rope walls are only 20-25ft max.

I love this place. Good problems and good classes
Wasn't really impressed with the route setting. Seems like they're after your money trying to make you take a class for how to boulder. I've never heard of any gym testing for how to fall on a boulder problem. They'll let you know about all the tests and class fees. Staff was okay.
Really excellent gym with varying levels of bouldering. Great for new people and experts alike. Constantly changing things up to keep it fresh, and they've got a small area with free weights, ellipticals, and other equipment to get some cardio in as well.

A good bouldering-oriented climbing gym with very friendly staff. Good variety of routes, updated frequently.
The climbing is pretty good here. But I've never been to a gym that tests you on how to fall properly while bouldering. Maybe I'm bitter because they failed me while having years of experience climbing, they offered that I take a $15 how to fall properly class.
Pretty lucrative business model and I have been gyms all over the east coast, out west, even out in Alaska and never experienced such a strict rule before.
Just let people climb. They signed the waiver. They know what they're getting into.
One of the better bouldering gyms in the Philly area. Great community and awesome staff!
I'm an inexperienced climber and they were very helpful in getting me set up to climb quickly while also taking my safety into consideration. The set up is pretty conducive to both beginners and people with experience. It's definitely a place geared towards bouldering so that's really the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars even though I personally like bouldering more. A great overall experience and feel not to mention the sense of community you feel in there with others. My girlfriend left something on a bench the entire time we were there (a couple hours) thought it was lost but not a single person so much as moved it from where she left it.
Stopped in with my daughter (age 10) with a Groupon. The gentlemen behind the desk were VERY nice with a great sense of humor. Our instructor was very knowledgeable and patient. We had a great time. The groupon provided a temp membership for 2 weeks following the day of our first visit. There is a very small gym area which is a great addition and not to mention there is a training room where you can practice core movements for a greater experience when time to climb! Again loved the staff and the experience. Would def recommend.
I came here with my girlfriend after stopping by Go Vertical once. We both agreed that PRG had a much friendlier vibe and staff and felt their membership and prices were quite reasonable! 20 visits later and I'm really thankful for this place. The routes are well set, with beginning routes always teaching you a new lesson to help you along. It's much more a bouldering gym but there are still a few good top rope and lead problems to work on.
I definitely recommend giving PRG a shot!
Accessible by Septa bus or regional rail line (Norristown/Manayunk) or by bike. It's very accessible for people with or without cars. It has a lot of bouldering problems but the rope climbing is short. It has a separate area for kids, a weight gym and a training room. Great for training when you can't go outside.
