I had a horrible time with the YMCA in the Month of June 2018. I wanted to sign my daughter up for their day camp for the summer. Staff was rude, Felicia the assistant for Kim who runs the camp, hung up on me. I should have seen this as a sign, but nonetheless i continued to work with them to get my daughter signed up. On my daughters first day, she came home almost in tears and refusing to ever go back. There was an older girl who bullied my daughter all day. I asked her if she told the camp counselors and she said she did but they don't care. I pressed her for more information on what happened and she stated when she told the counselor, they patted her on the back and told her she would be fine and to go back and play. I was shocked and upset that this is how they handled things. Bullying is a serious issue and for it to be ignored and brush under the wrong is just sad. I never took my daughter back! She is now at the Kroc center camp which is a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE. She happy, doesn't want to leave at the end of the day, loves the staff and all the activities she does. Its more pricy then the YMCA, but its money well spent in my opinion. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE YMCA FOR ANYONE. The staff is rude, disrespectful, and dont care.
