Gym great, but be aware they charge your debit automatically.
I visited to get a better understanding on Fitness Centres as a whole. The staff was easy to understand, and their member plans were pretty much up there price wise with like-kind centres like LA Fitness. What I liked most here was how it did NOT smell like a high school gymnasium and no one was acting like they were "All that" and many were actually willing to give good advise on how to get started and what NOT to do. I may become a member!
I received a coupon in the mail to join the international fitness gym for a great monthly low price. I tried to call the phone number that was listed on the coupon for the last couple of weeks only to be discounted. After I realized the coupon had expired I called the Eugene office and spoke to the District Corporate Wellness Manager, Sky. She was so kind and understanding by honoring the coupon allowing me to sign up over the phone. I can't wait to begin me health and wellness journey with international fitness. Thank you Sky!!!

I went in to the gym with a friend (on 8-10-18), we were interested in seeing the gym and talking about enrollment. The "GM", or so I heard him say, was at the desk speaking with a woman (about marketing??), he glanced up when we walked in, gave us the once over and went back to talking to the lady without ever acknowledging us... no, nod, hand up, or eye-contact, that tells a waiting customer, "I'll be with you in a minute".. no, "I'm busy but let me get someone to help you"... no NOTHING, just the once over... so, we stand there 4, 5, 6, 7 8, minutes, we wander around the entrance area looking at stuff, we come back to the desk and look at him, but he NEVER stops talking to this lady, NEVER acknowledges us, NEVER pauses in his monologue to acknowledge two possible customers... the lady seemed like a nice gal, I'm sure a two-second pause to acknowledge us, speak with us, would not have offended her... so, after 10 minutes, we decided to leave, and I waved my hand to him, and with the intent of letting my tone tell him I thought his 'manners sucked', I said, "Well, gee, thanks a lot then" and he waves at us and says, "Okay, have a nice day..." He could pause then, but not before??? My guess is, he (the 'studly', tattooed, man-bun, 'GM" guy) does not want senior citizens, or is it female senior citizens(?) in 'his' gym... What pitiful, rude, sadly lacking customer service skills, this man had. Does corporate know he does this to seniors? Do they support him in his rude and condescending behavior... considering the treatment we received, we will join elsewhere, and whenever I hear this club's name mentioned, I will make sure who ever mentions it is well aware of the discrimination practices they embrace. Apparently we, as senior females, were not the clientele he is looking for??? Shame on you Mr. GM (if that's who you were)... you were a real jerk and your manners (not that you had any) suck, your mamma ought to have taught you better!!!

The new GM Kody Lindsey they have seem to be racial, been here for 10years now, and I always go in with my 7yr old son, long story short, there was a huge mist under standing, and Mr. Kody Lindsey was about to roid rage on me and got very loud, and accusing me of and also called security on me and kick me out, verbal intimidation, racial discrimination. This is the New GM they put in charge, some jujitsu, veteran, guy that i also over heard one day as i was shopping at Best-buy were Kody was an employer before the gym, over heard this guy giving advice on how to run a steroid cycle, while he was on the clock.IT ALL MAKES SENCE NOW HOW HE WENT FROM 0-60 IN SECs differently explains his attitude and temper., be careful parents.
The gym is well equipped, but there are issues that make International Fitness a less-than-happy experience. First, equipment maintenance is shoddy at best. One piece of equipment was down for so long it actually collected dust! I had to ask three times to see if the repair had been forgotten about. Second, they're really into holidays, in which case the doors usually open at 8:00 AM. For a long three day weekend like Memorial Day, the gym is closed for half a week as far as the early morning crowd is concerned. It appears they have no real policy for the holidays observed; the holiday thing seems so improvised. Moreover, the impression is that early risers don't factor into whatever planning goes on. Third, the fee structure is as fickle as their holiday schedule. It'd be nice to have a tier system (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) with each level having certain perks. Instead, it too seems so improvised. Fourth, in the past they had some good trainers on contract for awhile, but they run them out of town for one reason or another. And fifth, good luck with trying to contact the corporate head. They don't seem interested in talking to the clients (out of sight, out of mind), and they certainly don't seem to care about suggestions from the clients. All in all, there's nothing wrong that a more interactive and pro-consumer management style wouldn't fix. They only need to care about the quality of service. Overall, a middling gym run via a business model on paper and with no input from the members.
UPDATE (12-26-2016): I've downgraded the rating on the gym from three to two stars for two reasons: First, since the "renovation" management has had trouble with keeping the place clean (e.g. floors in the locker room and shower area are always dirty) and many pieces of equipment are in desperate need of maintenance. And two, the company seems to have trouble hiring employees who will open the facility on time. Today (Monday the 26th, the day after Christmas) the facility was supposed to open at 5:00 AM, but it was more like 6:15 AM, an hour and fifteen minutes late. The employee's excuse was "he'd been sick and didn't know what time he was supposed to open." A lot of people came and waited around in 25 degree weather. Many left and went home. This is simply unacceptable behavior from the employees and disrespects the clientele. International Fitness isn't paying attention to its business.
UPDATE (11-27-2017): I'm downgrading the gym to one star. They're habitually late in opening the facility, the place is always dirty (especially the restroom/shower areas), and the equipment is always in disrepair. Moreover, management doesn't seem to care. International Fitness is going from bad to worse.
UPDATE (08-01-2018): No longer 24-hour during the week and opens at 6:00 AM on weekends. I have contacted management five times via three avenues of communication requesting a slight modification to the new schedule, but no response. Of course It's their gym and they can open and close as they see fit. However that NOBODY from management has responded to discuss the topic only goes to underscore how unimportant the clientele is to the ruling echelon . A zero input rule. A gym run according to a business model on paper. Worst gym I've ever belonged to.
The manager Bradley is the sweetest young man he works hard he remembers small details like your name and where youre from. Hes very courteous every time you deal with him even when he is swamped. Quite possibly the best gym manager ever and Ive been to quite a few gyms. The rest of the staff is great as well

New management is doing the job right. Place was clean, The staff was more than polite, And at a good price. That everything you need to get a great workout, Could use a fat bar and dumbbells that go more than a 135 pounds, but you can get a good workout!! I travel weekly, and try a whole lotta gyms, This one's solid.

Wasn't what I expected, employees were rude and otherwise disinterested in even being there. Shame.
The steam room is still a utility closet, the hot tub is still broken, the pool is swamp water. Every machine I use, I notice hair and dust collecting underneath it, it's gross. I've never seen any rules enforced, like not using your phone( camera ) in the locker room, not showering before using the pool or hot tub, not working out in jeans or flip flops. So far the priority, and I've been through now 4 owners, is outside appearance of the building and getting people to sign up. The whole area has been a construction zone for years, and now the new owners want to remodel again.
Clean facility and friendly staff. Kinda wish they didn't have a giant window facing a public walkway but whatever. Price seems reasobable.
Good gym if you want to look buff! I'm just a little old lady...didn't appreciate being pressured into joining (didnt). Went somewhere else.
Watch when enrolling how they charge you,
I stopped going to the gym for over two years but they kept charging my bank.
When I brought this to their attention they didn't care ....
it felt like I was robbed and they hid behind corporate jargon .
Been a member for a Couple of months and have a nice experience with the staff and the rest of te members of the gym. Awesome!!!!

This gym has a wide variety of equipment. The staff are very friendly and helpful. When my body hit a plateau, I hired Carlton as my personal trainer. I reached my personal goal well before our sessions expired. Now he motivates me to push myself in the gym with weight lifting, cardio, nutrition, etc. I highly recommend Carlton as a personal trainer!
Mary is an amazing personal trainer! She gives 100% and keeps your goals in mind. She helped me with a meal plan and exercise regiment to ensure I stayed on track during my vacation! I highly recommend her!
I had lots of billing issues and was getting no where with corporate contact after months. I went down to the Medford location to complain and show them documentation of errors on their part, and Laura completely turned things around and looked into things and took her time with me, treated me like a human, and changed my thoughts about this gym and I re signed back up. She was amazing and the reason why my husband and I will now go back. If you have concerns or problems, her professional attitude and amazing customer service will change your thoughts also. I really appreciated being treated with respect finally.
Isaac has really helped me stay goal focused. As a trainer he is hard and understanding but makes me reach deeper to get to the next goal. He has consistently helped me map out physical changes as well and nutrition, schedule, and emotional support through the tough stuff.
Mary Roberts is a great trainer! In a month I lost a pants size and was so much stronger!
The gym itself is fantastic with new equipment and great classes. They recently hired a new manager, his name is Shawn, and he is doing an excellent job! I am very pleased with my experience at International Fitness!

Convenience. Good for any schedule. Great price. Location. Friendly staff.
Giving this one star so I can write a review. Anyone who gave this gym more than one star must be a newbie to gyms. There is no way anyone can give this gym a good rating. Staff is rude. Manager screens calls. Three months later and she still will not return my call. Most of the machines are broke and dirty. 1 out of 10 times I can find a sanitary spray bottle and paper towels. You know those machines are full of germs. I contacted the corporate office and they never called me back either. I see the current manager gets her lack of customer service from the leaders. I have read most of the posts and the one star posts have it completely correct.
The blue floor shows their attempt to mop. Water must have been pretty dirty.
The two stair steppers are always this dirty. They have more stair steppers that are just as dirty but they don't work anymore. Always have signs on them for out of order or face tore off with wires hanging out.
There are a couple pictures that show 5 machines not working. These were just the broken machines around the one elliptical I found in working order this morning. This does not count all the other broken equipment around the gym. They also have bathroom stalls that have been out of order for some time as well. Noting ever gets fixed. Just signs going up and bad patch work.
The last three pictures or a small portion of the terrible conditions of the bathroom. They are so, so , so dirty.
I typically would leave but I think I might want to stay a little longer and get more pictures to post online. Maybe she will call me back after that?
