I really love this place. A lot. I discovered yoga here only two weeks ago. Having never even tried yoga at home before, knowing *not one* pose --I was a bit intimidated to "take the plunge" to say the least. I have had such a beautiful and enlightening experience here.
I am obsessed with yoga now, practicing every day, attending as many classes as my schedule will allow, even ones slightly out of my reach. After several different classes, some of them fast-paced and strenuous, I knew I needed special direction so I wouldn't hurt myself. I scheduled a one-on-one with Heather, Mudra's owner, after attending my first Steady Flow class with her. Heather has a really lovely, gracious, supportive and reassuring presence that makes being new here very relaxing. Her spirit really struck me, it's genuinely warm and very welcoming. Her focus and attention to ensure that I don't injure myself (or injurer problem areas) was thorough and has been critical to my progress.
I get the feeling that Heather is very selective about who teaches here. All of the instructors have been really great. I love Aricha's Yoga Nidra classes. They are really special (as is she). So genuinely invested and enthusiastic about the benefits of Yoga and Yoga Nidra. What at a beautiful marriage between yoga and meditation. I'm completely hooked and very grateful for it, and for Aricha. She has a real gift for this.
Thanks to Mudra's beautiful spirit and stellar instructors I feel absolutely confidant in being unsure. I am so very grateful that I chose this studio for my entry point into yoga. I may very well have gotten lost and discouraged anywhere else.
