I wanted to post a review months ago and didn't until I received a screenshot of Mr. Kings post this morning. Although slightly different numbers were given, not stolen to seek relief from injury. Afterwards an instructor asking to meet me to tell me they wanted to sleep with my husband while telling him its strictly platonic. Even agreeing to risk the children to have a relationship with him.
Yup, gaslighting, late night/early morning calls, drive bys, predatory, desperation. I'm in agreement with all of that. Seems Charlie is attempting to remain anonymous, I on the other hand am happy to help.
Reviews are meant to share actual experiences with a company and I can honestly say I would discourage anyone I knew from joining this studio. Hopefully we are talking about the same person, rather than multiple people. Most terrifying bizarre situation I've ever been a part of.

Generally a great studio which I have been going to for over 10 years through its evolution from Bikram to SGY to Wildl Light until recently deciding that the inconsistency in room temperature was too frustrating since hot classes advertised at 105 degrees and 40% humidity are more often than not barely reaching 100-102. I have been advised by staff to attend specific classes held after other hot classes if I want to experience the full benefits of hot yoga, which is often not possible with a busy schedule. I miss the heat and humidity from back in the day when it was still Bikram and the HVAC system was not quite so old and working better.

If you're looking for aggressive single desperation, unfortunately this is your studio. Teachers prey on students -retaining contact info and "follow up" with late night texts asking for companionship. Its concerning to say the least. Unfortunately this studio fails to respect the sacred nature of a teacher/student relationship. Academic, professional, personal or spiritual; using a position of power to manipulate another is abuse.

Guard your contact info, be wary of small talk with identifying details, and bring a trusted friend

I love this place!! It's a truly peaceful and supportive environment, perfect for learning and practicing yoga. So glad I discovered SGY. Life changer!

I absolutely love this place and the entire staff! It's my sweaty, inspirational home away from home and words can't even begin to express my gratitude!

I've been coming to Sweaty Ganesh for about 2 years now. The teachers are excellent, and they emphasize listening to your own body rather than trying to push you too far. You need to have the freedom to modify a pose or refuse to do it altogether, especially if you have injuries, and the teachers here understand that. The place is always clean, and the decor is beautiful (this point is surprisingly important). I would recommend Sweaty Ganesh to anyone, no matter their age, gender, level of experience, or level of mobility.

BEST. STUDIO. IN. EUGENE. Hands down. I teach at a lot of studios around town, but this is by far my favorite. The owner is a phenomenal leader, teacher, and all-around human. The teachers are well-educated and teach sound alignment principles with clear language, very little jargon. I love everything about this place from the cleanliness/layout/design of the space to the people that teach and practice there. They have something magical for sure. Core 26, vinyasa, vin-yin, ashtanga, strength and conditioning, restorative... Their schedule and class offerings are wonderful. Definitely check them out.

Sweaty Ganesh yoga studio has a wide variety of classes and top notch experienced instructors. I enjoy hot yoga but also like the option of restorative yoga and vinyasa flow classes. The studio has a genuine cheerful and friendly atmosphere which I appreciate. There is a second yoga room recently added and new strength an conditioning classes.

I love Sweaty Ganesh Yoga! I moved to Eugene about a year ago, and it is my favorite studio so far. I am from Hawaii and used to do vinyasa yoga faithfully at the same studio, and it was hard to find a place in Eugene that I liked. Even though I never used to do hot yoga, I have found that it is amazing in this weather. The community is amazing and supportive, and the space is very welcoming.
