If you are looking for a beautiful, inviting space to take yoga classes, then come to Everyday People Yoga. The teachers are kind, knowledgeable, and thoughtful, and there are classes for most every level. Eugene is amazing for many reasons, and being the home of Everyday People Yoga is one of them.

Painting guru on the side of your car doesn't make it better for the environment. Nor more spiritual. Elitism has many faces. As well as ignorance. Here you can find both. Kind of sick. Yet few care or notice.

This studio and it's community are woven into my heart and home. I've attended classes here for the past 4 years, and am so grateful to have participated in a wondrously magical yoga teacher training with Phoenix in Costa Rica in 2016. By being willing to grow and be challenged in this way, I have been richly rewarded: supported by loving community, inspired dedication to healing practices, and feeling a growing sense of purpose and direction. Now leading classes here at EPY, I continue to learn and grow. It is a beautiful and loving sanctuary that I am humbled to attend to, as a student and teacher. It's uniqueness is unparalleled in Eugene, being a donation based and high-vibrational space for any and all to come practice yoga, mediation, and just being. Please join us! Peace and blessings

Traveling through Eugene, I came to this studio for a beautiful all levels class. The space was welcoming and I left feeling rejuvenated, happy and healthy. The instructor, Colin, was eager to share his practice and was sure to make the flow productive for all members of the class. Overall, this place really touched my heart and made me feel so thankful to have been able to experience such positivity.

The space of Everyday People Yoga is so special to me. I completed my teacher training here a couple years ago and still practice and teach here. I recently returned from teaching yoga in an eco-resort in Hawaii where people were always inquiring about my teacher and training. I was so proud to bring up Eugene, praise my amazing and humble teacher Phoenix Desmond, and recommend the studio that will always feel like my home. I am still receiving gifts from my 200 hour training and continue to grow in my practice and as someone who shares the practice. The encouragement of my teacher and the thoroughness of his teachings are priceless and stay in my heart. Thank you to anyone who has encouraged me directly or indirectly, I truly appreciate it. With this said I like to invite you to come practice with me!!

One of the best studios in town! I love that there are so many choices of styles, teachers, and class times. It makes it easy to drop in last minute. My favorite teachers are Lauren, Jordan, and Zoe, but I have never been to a class that I disliked. For me it has the right blend of integrating mind, body, and spirit, with short meditations and reminders to let go and let the yoga practice be a refuge, without being overly hippie dippie. The donation based model makes yoga accessible to more people in the community and, to me lends to the down to earth atmosphere. There is a crazy cheap Groupon out there, but after learning that the teachers only receive a dollar or two from the Groupon passes for each class, I just stick to a donation. $10 is the low end of the sliding scale recommended donation, which is less expensive than anywhere else in town ,to my knowledge (of course, pay more if you are able, since the studio runs on donations only, and teachers are paid a percentage of donations). Lastly, the space is beautiful and relaxing, with great natural light from several skylights.

I did my 200 hour teacher training here and it was a very unpleasant experience. Of the 180 contact hours we had with the lead teacher, Phoenix Desmond, the majority of them were spent listening to him rant about unrelated topics like tourism in Maui, credit unions, recycling and other such topics. There was little participation on the part of me and the other students because each time we would try to speak out about whatever tangent Phoenix had gone off on he would shut us down and then rant about how our views were fundamentally incorrect. On several accounts he openly insulted students for things such as their own religious views and their sexuality. At the end of the training, I did not feel prepared to lead classes because we did not spend sufficient time studying poses, alignment or teaching to special conditions. I feel that the curriculum of the training was deceptive and if I had known how it would have gone I would have saved my money and time.

In the past I had nothing but positive experiences at this studio. I thoroughly enjoyed classes by Matt, Zoe, Jackie and Austin so I found this experience to be very disappointing and will no longer be attending classes or events at Everyday People.

What to say....Studio was clean, organized, teachers were friendly.... For my liking however, classes were too full, teachers never gave corrections, flow of class was very slow even in more advanced classes, and, frankly, it's not that cheap. No unlimited pass? I bought a Groupon pass and just didn't use it that much because I just didn't feel like this was my studio. I moved here from a smaller city and am used to a more intimate setting and more teacher interaction. Not a bad place just not for me. Hope this is helpful to some people.

I love this place! I feel like its a just made bed and love how comfortable the vibe is. Pheonix really knows how to set the space frequently burning lemongrass oil and sacred incense. The studio has become my second home in many ways. Iv also have had a lot of guidance learning how to slow down my practice and nurture my body. There are wonderful teachers here also who are kind and really pay attention to each students needs. Iv enjoyed feeling welcome here and appreciate the fact that it is donation based, attracting people from all walks with the common intention, to heal.
Thank you everyone who makes this space possible!

I loved my experience here--the space is beautiful and centrally located. The studio is spacious, has live plants, skylights and a lovely bamboo floor. I appreciated that I could get familiar with the expectations and offerings on their website before arriving. All of the teachers were polite, welcoming my partner and I to the space when we arrived. They have enough teachers that I was able to find both a difficulty level and instructor that was just right for me. I liked that beyond the foyer there was a separate room for shoes and belongings. I am happy to have found Everyday People Yoga.

It was my first time taking a yoga class and not once did I feel uncomfortable or self-conscious. The instructors are very welcoming and attentive to your needs. The studio is beautiful, very clean and inviting. I highly recommend it to all, especially beginners.

This is a great place to do yoga. It's a warm and welcoming environment for all levels. I've mainly stuck to the gentle flow classes since I'm a beginner. Highly recommend for those a little unsure of trying yoga.
