I joined the Reflexion Barbell Club several months ago, and have been working with Coach Jesse specifically on Olympic weightlifting since then. Jesse has great knowledge of the sport, having competed in it since he was young. Getting guidance from a nationally competitive weightlifter has been an invaluable experience. In addition to his own experience, Jesse regularly communicates with globally recognized weightlifting experts (like Coach Wu Chuanfu) and draws on their knowledge to deepen his own and to supplement his coaching techniques, and it really shows in his daily interactions with his lifters. That dedication and understanding helps him to provide specific guidance to each lifter, and to tailor programming to meet each lifter's needs. Since I have been at Reflexion Jesse has helped me to undo years of bad habits that I accumulated lifting elsewhere and on my own, making my lifting style more balanced, stable and smooth. That movement efficiency has translated to greater speed, which has led to increased weight on the bar.
Having an experienced weightlifting coach watching your daily sessions (which Jesse does - every session) helps you to develop quickly and increases your confidence when you step up to the bar.
