The YMCA is closed and has sent an email telling members it would like to continue to collect their membership dues. I am very sympathetic to their sudden plight --but it was very easy to plan for, it would fall under the same type of plan that might handle membership if it were to catch fire, or have it's facility rendered inoperable through other means. That they have no means to temporarily pause membership while canceled, and still are requesting fees for the month(s) they are closed is galling. It was ordered closed within 24 hours of their monthly billing cycle 3/15 for which members are just apparently expected to forfeit and asked to consider as a donation. I would happily have donated a month's membership given the opportunity to simply pause my membership and not pay month(s) of dues for no benefit despite my own situation (and others) being equally precarious. A terrible situation made much worse by a complete lack of foresight and tactless messaging.

I'm a new member and my first impressions aren't great. I chose this gym over others because they had group classes that I wanted as a part of the membership. The equipment seems dated and unclean. The place needs to be deep cleaned, there was debris in every crevice of the machines I used. The lockers in the women's locker room are rusty. The staff is nice but the facility is old and cramped.

Be warned customer service regarding membership is lackluster at best. Tried to get a refund for being charged for a year of membership after already having ended my membership and have been met with resistance at every step.
Facilities are wonderful and well maintained. Staff are relatively helpful. Customer service and accountability are poor.

There are enough exercise stations and a large enough space that even when the Y is busy, I can get my light workout in. And it's clean. And the staff is upbeat. And it's family-friendly in all ways. And it's affordable. And it contributes significantly to the community. Way to go, folks!!

Pretty clean considering it is a busy, communal space. Very friendly staff. Occasionally difficult to use the swim lanes/weight machines due it being a busy location depending on the time of day.

This place is unfriendly, the regulars think they are the only ones allowed to be there. Your can sense the intolerance.
I only go because of convenience also there is no ventilation smell like unrelenting human sweat all the time !

Attached is a picture of the black mold in the men's showers (taken 2/2018). I've been working out at this Y for about 6-months with the hope that things would get better..but they haven't. I've offered several comments on their website with no response. This place is gross, overcrowded, and mismanaged at best. Very little open gym times during the week... only kids volleyball, basketball, and leagues. Good luck trying to use the sauna or hot tub. Machines are in bad shape and too close together. This YMCA needs an overhaul.

I love the place except for a couple things. 1) It closes WAY too early, especially in the weekends. And what's with closing 15 minutes before the hour? Seems like a way to cut corners at the member's expense. 2) Why on God's green earth does the locker room close before the workout area?! Shouldn't it be the other way around? I hate getting scolded by employees because I'm getting my clothes after the workout that was already rushed and cut short because I have to be out of there at 9:45. With that said, it's the best hot tub I've found outside of natural hot springs. I've never had to wait for cardio equipment. There are no meat heads, but there's no stupid "lunk alarm" either. Great for families. If the hours were more conducive to folks with non-traditional schedules, I'd give it 5 stars.

Hands down the worst referees in their Mens Basketball Leagues. waste of $50.00 to play in the league, and the fact you have to pay 35.00 a team each game for ridiculously horrible officiating, to the point even teams that are winning games are fed up. Not all are bad, a few are respectful and just miss a call here and there, then there is a handful of refs who blatantly miss calls out of spite. I heard on the other end of the court last night a player and a ref getting into it after a game, and the ref slurring out words such as "you suck, your team sucks, learn how to play basketball, etc" charging in the players direction seemingly trying to fight. (Tall red headed ref, out of shape) It is my 5th session in a row, i love to play, but it has been consistently terrible officiating, blown games bc of missed calls, you talk back to the ref you have a death wish of never getting another call in your favor again. I highly recommend checking out Ohio Nets mens leagues or pretty much anywhere else besides here. Good Day

I enjoy coming here. The prices are fair or at least within my budget. It gets a little crowded even in the mornings, specially during the summer. I give four stars because I wish they had more classes for adults at a 10-12 schedule. (That is mostly elderly adults classes schedule).

This community center is extremely expensive. This only benefits certain parts of the community, as it stands. The physical therapy team is excellent, though. This rating isn't for them. It's for the price gougers.

This gym is overcrowded after work hours. Also, overpriced for the little amenities it offers. I would recommend LA Fitness, which is a cheaper monthly rate. I believe they have decent family rates, which could help reduce this cost.

My interest in the Adult Basketball League (ABBL) has declined over the four sessions I have played here. The refs are professional and do a good job officiating the game. There also is a score and stat keeper, but this has become inconsistent and stats are not recorded every game and have been entered incorrectly. If teams pay $70 a game, this shouldn't be an issue. Additionally, there are too many rules that are not consistently followed.

Depending on the size of your team, each player could spend upwards of $150 per basketball session of ~10 games. All the games are played after 7:00 pm, with games as late as 9:30 PM. If you forfeit, you pay a fee of $70. To me, the prices/fees can add up too quickly.

This is without a doubt the worst YMCA that I've been to. It's incredibly unclean and they have machines that stay broken for MONTHS without being fixed.
