My son Jerod and I have been attending Fargo BJJ since May 2019. We love the coaches, facility, and quality of training. This is a very high quality organization. My son and I participate together and my son also attends the kids advanced classes. This is not easy and very challenging but it build tremendous character and confidence. This is a first rate and hands down the best martial arts organization in Fargo.
My son is going on 2 years at FBJJ. He has tourettes syndrome and I accredit the academy directly for his ability to demonstrate self control, manners, and discipline. Top notch!!
I've had 2 kids in the "Bully-Proof" kids program since they were 4 years old. Today they are 10 and 12. It's taught them discipline, confidence, respect and they've had literally 0 issues at school with other kids bullying them. The experience of rolling with other kids of their age and size (and even bigger) regularly in a controlled environment plays a huge role in the confidence they feel at school and on the playground and playing other sports. It's best thing you can do for your kids. I can't say enough for the program that Professor Sarah has developed at Fargo BJJ.

My son who is 8 years old has attended Fargo BJJ for almost two years now. The Bully Proof program has helped him gain confidence, discipline , and knowledge in physical fitness. Professor Sarah and the coaches are patient and extremely helpful with each kid individually.
After a year of participating with my son, I decided to join Fargo BJJ as well. Everyone who trains at Fargo BJJ is friendly and always willing to teach and help. I immediately felt welcomed on my first day. Professor George and the coaches are always there to help you train and answer questions you may have.
There are different classes you can go to throughout the day and week, which helps if you are busy with work or school. The training is top notch and I can honestly say I miss the group when I don't attend for a extended period of time.

Where an International Competitor or Pro fighter can get the best training... or a beginner can come and learn real Self Defense skills in a fun, safe environment. I believe that is exactly what Fargo BJJ & Muay Thai Academy is! Beginners through Advanced - Men - Women - Children... I highly recommend you try it.

This review is mainly for kickboxing instructor John k, I had the opportunity to try out the 2 week trial and John was very patient, knowledgeable and very humble. During my 2 week trial I also tried BJJ with Matt, not as patient, and rude.

Been training at Fargo Bank for a year and a half now. Best decision I've made to start training bjj. Professor George and Sara are both very knowledgeable. The coaches there are great also. Everyone is friendly and help each other out.
The children's bully-proof program is excellent. The kids learn both verbal and non-verbal techniques to deal with confrontations. The kids are divided by age and ability level so that each child can learn the techniques relevant to them. My son really appreciates that there is time to play in addition to training time. The belt system allows the kids to see their progress with different colored belts and stripes. This program also really works to build self-confidence. Great program overall!
Very sport oriented, no Mixed Martial Arts program. Very few practical self defense programs. As expensive as gyms such as Greg Jackson's, Tristar and Alliance (No exaggeration). They abuse they ideas of supply and demand, when in fact there's more suitable options in the FM area. Save your cash, unless rudimentary knowledge of the art of Brazilian JiuJitsu is what you desire.
