The staff are always friendly and the equipment is clean and in working order. Lunchtime and the days immediately following New Year's Day tend to be the busiest times, but eventually the New Years Resolutioners crowd thins. My rating is reflective of the business side of PF. You have to physically go into your home location to do most everything with your account.

The assistant Manager here is unbelievably Rude! She treats members as if they are troublesome to her and she doesnt look anyone in the eye. After my husband has had a membership since 2008 he was told he wouldnt be able to come into the gym without paying a outstanding balance which was a late fee. She left me in the tanning room without setting the tanning bed. This is not during the busy time this is 9 pm at night when the gym is about empty. I included a video of me waiting for the tanning bed to start. Her attitude is absolutely uncalled and it trickles down. This is my second time at this location. I have a black card, I'll find another location.

Don't be fooled. Make sure you know that this is a business..... Out to make money they will charge you for use of the Gym even if you don't go. They will not let you in if you don't pay but will still take your money

This was my very first time in Planet Fitness and was immediately captivated and mindblown by the way Caitlin articulated her words so flawlessly explaining the gyms benefits. I would have never guessed that she'd only been working there for 2 months. She provides amazing customer service and anyone that comes in contact with her Spirit will be instantly intrigued and entranced by her genuineness. Needless to say she is Planet Fitness greatest asset!

Jon, at the Six Forks location was absolutely amazing upon my very first visit. He walked me through the entire gym, taking the time to explain every piece of equipment, despite having many customers up front and interrupting us during the orientation. I didn't even sign up for this orientation, but he did it anyway. He encouraged questions and feedback every step of the way. He wasn't remotely intimidating as I find a lot of "gym pros" to be. Thank you for the beautiful experience

The staff is always friendly, and the gym and machines are always clean and very well maintained. It can get busy, but I always have options (i.e. I never stand in line for a machine). There's a reason it's busy...Planet Fitness offers an extraordinary value.

I love this gym, absolutely believe that is one of the most amazing Jim's I've ever gone to. If you ever get the chance to visit this Jim you definitely should, always clean always a great place to work out

Hands down my favorite planet fitness yet. Always clean and the staff is amazing no matter what time of day. If anything gets broke it is fixed immediately. It is a huge PFit and the owner makes sure to have plenty of equipment.

Nice gym and and working equipment. The people that work there go out of their way yo be courteous and helpful.
Its crowded at peak hours, but there is always something to do. Lots if TVs to watch if you're doing cardio.

The gym itself is great but some of the employees messed up me and my wife's stuff. Instead of making my wife's renewal easier it was done wrong so her home gym stayed as her last one so now there's a note next to her membership. They didn't activate my card right so I had to get it linked up again so it'd work.

I called them and specifically asked if I would be auto renewed for the next year and their front desk assured me that would not happen. I didn't mind paying the monthly charge until my contract ended... I did mind getting charged yesterday for an annual fee that I was convinced would not happen. She told me that if I opt out of auto renew online that was all i needed to do. Turns out I have to send a letter or drive across the triangle to cancel my membership. Either the girl at their front desk doesn't understand their policy that every account will be charged indefinitely or they have seriously dishonest business practices. Then I found out that they do not do refunds. Typical gym shadiness.
Edit: Thanks for your completely generic response to my complaint. I know how to sign in to my account and I provided a screen shot of how it says I am not enrolled in auto renew (see attached). But you are right, I should of referred back to my contract instead of listening to your incompetent staff and believing that by opting out of auto renew online then I wouldn't be charged the following year. Thanks again for your help. Good luck in your business ventures.

Best gym I have ever joined. The staff is AMAZING , no over exaggeration. You are always acknowledge and welcomed. Extremely clean facility and machines are always, ALWAYS in tact. Now 24hrs so it does free up machines more. Tanning beds are also very clean and there is always one available. They offer everything you need for tanning, along with gym bags, and tshirts to represent positivity and encouragement. If you happen to forget your water, they offer great bottled drinks from water to muscle milk. The hydro beds and massage chairs make for great relaxation after any intense workout or work day. You can not go wrong with this facility. Thank you planet fitness for all that you do!!

This place has saved my life! It took me 58 years to realize I needed to get fit.... I'm a slow learner.... The staff here is super nice, and the place is SPOTLESS... I've never seen folks so obsessed with cleanliness! Thanks! It is truly a judgement free zone. You see all kinds of folks here... No need to be shy... I weighed over 300 lbs when I started.... Not a soul even gave me so much as a sideways glance. The machines are in good condition, and there is plenty of equipment for everyone. People are as friendly as you want them to be... If you want to be left alone, no one bothers you. If you smile and make eye contact, they will be friendly. I am in the best shape of my life thanks to planet fitness. They have trainers to help you... I was clueless in the beginning... And you can use them when you need them. I am living example that it is NEVER too late to get started on your health. I have lost over 100 pounds and have built muscle tone thanks to weight watchers and Planet Fitness.

It's great. A bit crowded but plenty of machines so, even at its busiest, you can workout. The only other con is lack of scales. I asked and they said they don't have scales because they don't want people to judge. Well, then put them in the locker rooms. Duh

Very clean facility, always someone cleaning. Great value with membership price. Friendly staff, friendly patrons.
No limit on membership numbers. Place can get busy during peak hours, so plan to be flexible with workout. Should probably do Cost/Benefit Analysis or promotion on/for PF express zone. Express zone, at this location, is often empty, under utilized, wasted space would recommend shift space towards other member needs. IMO.
Also was over charged in first month or two of membership. Have tried to discuss with staff, but unable to receive clear and helpful answer.

Great gym, but the managers are pretty annoying (except for cam). If you pick up your phone and hang it up in less than 30 seconds, they will reprimand you for thier "no phone policy". Even if you simply have your phone to you face not saying a word, when they guy next to you is screaming lifting weights, but the phone issue is more important and distracting to others.
To wrap it up, these try hard managers should use discretion instead of making themselves and planet fitness look like idiots. If someone is listening to a voicemail, maybe don't come up right away and tell them they can't. I get it, they are doing thier job and at this place it seems cut throat for the biggest suck up employee to have the least pay. Go for it.

Easily one of the cleanest gyms I've ever been to. The facility is open almost all the time, and while it gets pretty busy right after work hours, the staff does a great job of helping each member. I've never had to wait for a cardio machine, and the number of strength machines makes it easy to workout what I'm working on each day. It's rare I cannot get to a certain piece of equipment. Overall, excellent place especially at $10/month.

Watch your bank statements because they will be quick to f*** you over and then try to blame it on you. They know little about customer service. Pay cheap, so expect little.

Very clean gym, and the staff is usually friendly and helpful. Lots of equipment, and they are well organized spatially. The locker room and bathroom are typically clean. Lighting is nice and bright, which matters more than you might think after my experience with other gyms with dim lighting.
The only negative is that there are no squat racks or barbell benches. Personally, I don't like the unnatural movements forced on me with the Smith machines. There's a nice collection of dumb bells, however.

Clean facility, extremely nice staff, good neighborhood. Sometimes really crowded during the week so you'll have to monitor to figure out the best time to go. It would be more convenient if it was 24/7.

I went into Planet Fitness and canceled my membership in January 2017. I was told by the associate working at the front desk that I would have access to the gym until the end of the month because I had already paid up for the month. I was on a month-to-month membership, so I didn't have to worry about a contract agreement. However, Planet Fitness continued to draft money out of my account illegally the following month with both the annual fee and the monthly membership fee. I contacted them and they stated they would correct it, they didn't. The next month, I was charged again. Planet fitness did not stop drafting until I changed my bank account number. I have yet to receive a refund!
