After an injury to my knee the Doctor told me it was 50-50 if I would need surgery to find relief. I opted to try the least invasive method first - physical therapy. Within 15 minutes of my first PT session, the therapist said - "You won't need surgery, we can get you corrected with PT. The Doctor just didn't know how strong your hips are." During the next three months of PT she asked what it was that gave me such strong hips - because honestly, you would never know it looking at me. I told her I have been doing yoga with Judith Valerie for years. Her parting words upon my release: "Don't give up your yoga - it saved you from surgery and a long road of recovery."
So THANK YOU, Judith!

Without question, Judith Valerie is the best yoga instructor in the Triangle area. She absolutely knows and practices yoga as if it's second nature to her. Judith's spirit and commitment to the practice are inspiring. Her instruction and support encourage each individual to excel only at the most comfortable level for him/her self. Every time I leave her class, I realize how fortunate I am to be able to attend. Judith is a caring , non judgmental professional.

I've been enjoying yoga with Judith for almost 19 years and always feel great afterwards. One of my coworkers remarked last week that I have "such great posture." I told her I was sure it was because I had been to yoga class the night before! Taking Judith's class has has helped become more aware of my body. I've noticed over the years that my posture has improved as have strength and flexibility. Yoga also has the excellent side effect of being calming and centering.

If you are looking for time for yourself to be good to your body, Valerie's class is it. I felt a difference in strength & posture & even my friends noticed because I stood taller. Gentle yoga---& Valerie's joyful personality--- changed my life for the better.

I have enjoyed Judith's classes for several years now. She offers variety to her weekly classes, prompts very well, has an extended knowledge of yoga and how each pose positively affects our bodies. Benefits for women's health is especially noted in her Women's only class on Wednesdays. Incorporated into most classes is a brief time for meditation and breathing exercises. Judith watches each individual yoga participant and gently corrects those that may need more guidance. She offers modification suggestions to those needing them due to injuries or restrictions. Available to all are mats, lovely new blankets, knee pads, blocks and straps, as well as, the opportunity to use chairs and the wall for support if needed. The classes I've attended have been appropriate for all levels of experience. It is very obvious that Judith loves yoga and teaching it.

Throughout the years I've found yoga to be a great tool in combating anxiety and helping me to better recognize and connect with my emotions and how they affect me physically. The yoga classes commonly offered at gyms do not even begin to compare to the classes offered by Judith. Walking into the space each Monday night immediately changes the way I breathe and the energy I exude. Judith's style of teaching, her energy, and the sound of her voice help me reset each week. Even my family knows when I've missed a week of yoga with Judith! I'm not sure I would have been able to manage the last couple years of my life, if it wasn't for Judith and her classes.

Wonderful experience. I was a novice but every time I went, Judith took the time to explain everything to me and she was so nice. I appreciated how she is not about money or a membership but really cares about the people who attend her classes. Grade A teacher.

I just love this class! Judith is a wonderful teacher! Her passion to help people is reflected in her teaching style. She teaches us not only how to do the poses but also explains the physical and emotional benefits. I have noticed that my body is stronger, more flexible, and is in better balance since beginning yoga with Judith. She is very friendly, encouraging and offers good correction in form and alignment. She truly cares about her students experience. Her class will help you heal your body, mind, and heart!

I have been attending Judith's Tuesday and Wednesday night classes for almost three years. I look forward to (and depend on) Judith's class each week. I greatly appreciate her focus on proper and safe poses that are centered on technique and mindfulness. It's amazing how much my body (and mind) have changed since I started taking her class. Judith gives you individualized attention and ensures that you listen to your body and do what works best for you. My life has been transformed since I first stepped into her class and yours will be, too.
