I'd like to be more apart of this place, but it's really expensive and I get really judgmental vibes. One of the yoga instructors looked me up and down when I said I was interested in yoga classes and told me that I might want to go somewhere else. I'm Hispanic/Native and slightly overweight. I don't dress in boho or yoga pants. I'm not covered in tattoos and I don't carry a yeti or Starbucks cup. I was waiting for a guided meditation class and I was a bit too early and the vibes I got were "pay for something or leave". I had a lovely class but I'm not the stuck up type. Healing should be for everyone, not just small white girls that can afford boho chic. I go to Sanctuary Imports for EVERYTHING now.
Best yoga studio I've ever been to. Many of the classes proceed as more than just flexibility and mobility exercises, but as guided meditations which completely shift your mental state. Stressed out and think you don't have time to go? You probably need a membership. Don't forget to try their nice selection of kombucha after class.
I can't give enough love to this place, by far the best yoga studio in Charlotte, IMO. The energy in the place is so great, calm, and welcoming.
The teachers are well educated and all of them really care about both the spiritual and the physical side of the practice. (I've found with a lot of other studios that they only focus on the physical movements and the fitness aspect which really diminishes the experience for me.)
I've had two massages here. One was awesome, but an hour massage from Jennifer actually a 45 minute massage. Wait 5 minutes after you get ready and the cut you short.

Visiting the area, I am not a local. This place makes me melt. Did a deep stretch Yin Yoga class and it was fantastic. This place is so popular the class was packed to full. Here now, waiting to go in for my deep tissue massage! ...aside from Okra, it is in a great spot! I love the street it's on, surrounded by fun stuff to explore. You can sign up for classes and appointments through MINDBODY APP.

Such a cute studio! And REAL yoga too! We have only taken class from Tai and Victoria so far but we loved their creativity and passion for ehat they teach. We will be back at least 3 times a month!

Rebekah is AMAZING. So accommodating and very professional I hope to never have to go anywhere else. I did a 90 min massage with her and it was worth every cent. I am a stylist and a mother and she worked out all the stress and knots in me.

I didn't come in for yoga or a massage. I came for a quiet warm place and I found it here with a HUGE tea selection. I'll definitely visit again.

Last month I went to Okra for a new client massage. I had references from friends so went in feeling really good about this business. During my massage I was sexually assaulted. I won't go into the details here b/c it is graphic and painful. I froze during the event. I am now learning through counseling this is a normal reaction. Flight, Fight or Freeze. I just wanted to get out of there safely and quickly.
I alerted the business through their survey that they send after massages the very next day on what happened to me. I detailed every single thing that happened to me. No response and this massage therapist is still on the schedule.
I also gathered up my courage and went to the police and filed a report.
I find it terrifying that a business would allow this type of behavior to happen and to not take action. Sexual assault can destroy someone's life and predators should not be allowed to continue to have access to women. And yet this business that promotes empathy and compassion does not do anything to stop this criminal behavior and crimes against women.
Looking back, I saw that another woman wrote a review on Yelp 10 months ago that she was violated at Okra and turns out it was the same massage therapist. I wish I would have read that review because I never would have set up my appointment and I wouldn't be dealing with this trauma.
Read your reviews and take them seriously. Your own personal safety is at stake.
Please only give your business to companies that respect you and take your safety seriously.

I just love this place!! On my questionnaire I was asked how did I hear about the place, my answer " the neighborhood raves about Okra". I made my massage therapist Tabitha smile. At that point, I knew I had found a gold mine in Okra. From the well decorated cozy massage rooms to the quaint Tea Bar, this place gets my 2 thumbs up!!!! Everyone was friendly and willing to assist where needed. My first massage was with Tabitha and she was THE BEST!! I've heard great things about the other therapists
and the yoga instructors but I put MY aches and pains in Tabitha's healing hands!!!! (TEAM TABITHA!!!!) ALL I CAN SAY IS... Just go...experience the ambiance of the place and services offered and I promise you'll thank me later!!!
