I started out really excited about OTF and the group of people that work here. A month in and I find out that only a couple of the people at the front desk are nice, caring and customer oriented. I just moved here and was looking for a gym to join but I was referred to OTF instead. I really liked it at first, so much so that I went from the middle tier package to the unlimited package within my first month.
***This is where I was told that I made the mistake***
At the time I joined, it was my understanding that our classes re-upped on the first of every month not the day of the month that you signed up. I joined on the 16th and used my 8 classes before the 1st of the next month. Easy miscommunication right? So again, I was loving OTF so I upgraded to the unlimited package 14 days in. Thinking I would have only been charged the extra $60~ instead of another $160~ on top of the $100~ I already paid because I went from 8 classes to unlimited classes. The unlimited package cost would cover the cost of 8 classes equaling no harm done/no money lost. Nope. My first month totaled $260~ and when I expressed my confusion and concern at the amount of money I had unknowingly had to pay the manager at this location could not have cared less.
I get corporate policies and being stuck between red tape but there are ways to work with your customers. I know this because I have been informed by multiple people that work at Orange Theory locations. Unfortunately, this locations manager does not care.
If you're looking to join, make sure you get ALL of the information up front.
