I'm a big fan of Orangetheory Fitness. I was one of the first people to work out at Orangetheory Fitness Morrisville, and it introduced me to the concept. I was excited to return after 5 years away.

Orangetheory Fitness is a great combination of science, supportive coaches, and super results. Okay, last one is weak, but I don't write advertisements for OTF. Buy or rent a heart rate monitor and then workout in a small group. There are usually two groups. At the beginning of class, decide whether you want to start on the treadmill or the rower.

Goal is to spend 12 minutes at or above 84% of your maximum heart rate. This provides the important excess post-exercise oxygen consumption that allows you to burn calories for up to 36 hours after the workout. The heart rate monitors seem to be pretty accurate.

I had a great first workout when this place was opening years ago, and I had a bad workout when I returned. The coach did a horrible job of making it clear which group she was addressing. Usually coaches would say "Okay treads..." "Alright rowers..." This coach would change who she was talking to mid-sentence.

The worst part of my experience came at the end. As I was walking out, one of the front desk people said the usual "Bye, have a great night." I responded somewhat quietly, but I clearly looked over and waved. We even met eyes.

Inspite of this, the idiot felt the need to yell "Bye, have a great night" again, but this time with a very irritated tone. I told her that she didn't hear me say bye and she sarcastically said "Bye, have a great night" again. My god, does she not realize she's at work? Why couldn't she respond like a normal person and say, "oh sorry, I didn't hear you."

Poor coaching and incredibly rude front desk staff make this an Orangetheory Fitness to avoid. I have worked out at a variety of places, from Planet Fitness to Crossfit to Orangetheory Fitness, in many locales. I can tell you that this is the first time a staff member at any gym felt the need to be rude to me.

The management here clearly doesn't give a damn. I filled out the survey that OTF sends, and I provided the same feedback that I provided here. The studio manager did not call me and even provide a half-hearted apology. I hope this place closes for good.

Love the workout, best place to start off for beginners to stay motivated and focused. The trainer helps you to push yourself. I learnt workouts can be fun at OTF!

Love all the workouts, each day and workout is different so I never get bored. All the coaches and staff is super nice and helpful!

I enjoy the structure of the workout so there is some routine to it but it's never boring because it varies from day to day. I appreciate having alternate exercises (I'm post PT for a shoulder injury). The workouts remain challenging but doable. The instructures are very motivating and I'm encouraged to push a little more to get the most out of every workout.

Very poor customer service by the management staff. They are very aggressive in encouraging you to join but very slow in resolving any issues. I would not recommend going near this facility and recommend you monitor your payment methods

Be warned! We called and cancelled our membership after 1 month and the person on the phone was great and gave me no hassle. Two months later, they are still charging us and haven't given us a refund! They said it stated in the contract that we had to physically sign a paper to terminate. The person on the phone never told us about that and said that everything was good to go. Not only that, but if they see a client hasn't been there in two months, why aren't they calling to see how they are doing!? Because it's all just $$$ to them. Btw, we were canceling because the times didn't work well with our schedule and we weren't getting any results.

Compared to O2 Fitness this place does not match. I was thinking of joining but the pricing does not match with the services offered. I have heard about billing issues from coworkers and friends so I would not refer anyone to Orangetheory Fitness

I like the intensity of the workout! Definitely going to see results after a few more of them.

I've attended quite a few OT gyms and Morrisville by far has the best trainers who are knowledgeable, motivating and make it an enjoyable workout.

They approached me at an expo and asked me to come for a demo class and took my credit card. I got a call from them where I clearly stated I had a marathon and may not fully recover in time for the class..they went ahead and made an unauthorized credit card charge.
Stay away from them..and never give them a credit card for a demo lesson. Professional crooks.

I am so disappointed with my orange theory experience. I just tried my first class tonight with a friend, and was looking forward to it, but the entire experience was ruined because of malfunctioning equipment and a complete lack of customer service. The whole purpose of orange theory is to be able to see your heart rate and the different "zones" in real time during the workout by wearing a heart rate monitor they give you. They gave me two different heart rate monitors, neither of which worked. You would think I would be offered another free class since I wasn't able to get the whole orange theory experience of being able to see my heart rate and other data from my workout, but no. I was told after the class by the customer service guy, (who had a very condescending attitude when I brought up my concerns) that my distress about the malfunctioning equipment didn't matter because "you got a good workout." He dismissed, rather than addressing any of my concerns. Not a good way to treat a potential customer. I do not recommend this place, unless you like dismissive and rude customer service.

Group environment but still get a lot of personal attention/corrections etc. Coaches make an effort to get to know you especially if you come to their classes all the time. Different workout every time but still see the same exercises frequently so there is some familiarity. Nice to be able to go for an hour and get more done than you would get done at the gym by yourself in 3 hours, and not have to come up with it on your own especially when your brain is fried from work!

Bad experience before even starting. Do not respect their commitment to new clients !

Let me just say... I am not typically an active person. I despise going to the gym and lack motivation to do so myself. That being said, I tried a class and it kicked my butt. So I started off w/ the 8 times a month membership. The more I came, the more I knew it simply wasn't enough! I'm a a premiere member now, and I couldn't be happier. This place has literally changed my life! The workouts change every time, the staff are incredible and super flexible, and every body that I've worked out with has been encouraging. You can feel yourself getting stronger, no matter what body size you are. Thanks OTF!
