Great teachers. I love Amy. Lots of class offerings and convenient times. $10 class options are economical and allow for more frequent drop-ins. Zoom classes have been a great addition.
love AYC. teachers are personable, everyone is accepted no matter what level of student you are, and you can give your body what you need in that moment without feeling like you need to adapt it for anyone in the room...it's a place where your yoga is really about you! and if you're interested in advancing teachers are there for that too. highly recommend this place to any yogi!
Fantastic instructors, and I LOVE that you are providing live streaming classes during this crazy time. I don't live near Asheville, but I did my YTT there, and this gives me the opportunity to take classes from some of my favorite instructors. Thanks!!
It was my first time to the studio, and Asheville in general! The studio and boutique felt welcoming. I enjoyed the flow of Steph's Ashtanga mix, and her not-so-seriousness. I look forward to coming back in the upcoming weeks.
My friend Kristie and I were visiting from out-of-town. We were looking for a drop-in yoga class and Kristie had heard great things about this studio. We picked a Slow Flow & Yin class with Amanda Hastings. I've been having left hip issues for over a year now. After Amanda's class, it feels better than it has in many months! I didn't get to tell Amanda this after class, but she has the most gentle touch and filled with light. Thanks for welcoming us. It made our trip awesome!

Everything about the experience at AYC is top notch. The classrooms are comfortable and roomy with availability of props for everyone. The quality of the program and the teacher was the best I have experienced to date. Michael Johnson is an excellent resource of knowledge and can present the knowledge in an engaging and interesting way. A perfect combination for what can be complex topics like history of yoga & sanskrit. I look forward to coming back to AYC for my future modules to complete my 300YTT.
I really enjoyed Michael's class. I am new to yoga (as in, two weeks!) and didn't feel out of place despite being surrounded by much more advanced yogis. Michael had a warm inclusive approach and I enjoyed the music and teachings as well. I hope to make this a recurring activity on Sunday mornings. Thank you, Gaia.
From start to finish, my experience with your staff (as well as the folks who coordinated my stay at Namastay House) was seamless. I especially appreciated the email the beginning of the week before the workshop detailing where to go, what to wear, what to bring, and a general idea of our schedule. I can't tell you how much stress that took off of me!
I came into this workshop (Power of Now) not knowing what to expect, of the workshop, or of myself. I have just recently returned to the mat after an extended illness of my own, followed by both of my parents being on hospice and transitioning from this life to the next. I was worried most about my ability to participate in Asana for an extended time. I found myself surrounded by a community of loving teachers, all checking up on me the entire time we were moving. I also discovered that I was among a group of beautifully broken individuals, all working towards healing in their own special ways.
Thank you for the wonderful weekend. I look forward to returning, when I can trust my immune system a little more, to take your 200 hour teacher training! Ginnia Staley

I'm new to the studio but things seem well run and the few teachers I've had are heart centered, sincere and apparently knowledgeable. I've enjoyed the hands on attention.

My husband and I took the Prison Yoga training with James Fox this past weekend. It was a beautiful experience! We were impressed with the Asheville Yoga center. The staff is very professional and organized. We felt very comfortable and they truly made our experience worthwhile. We will definitely be back in the near future!

This is a magical place for me. They're yoga classes are plentiful throughout the days, diverse in types offered, and all lead by professional trainers each with their own personal style of delivery. From their team of friendly greeters to their studio rooms with doors often open to allow nature sounds in, this is a tranquil spot to practice kindness.

Every class every instructor...seems like I always get exactly what I need. I love the whole vibe of the space & the mission so clearly communicated.
My yoga instructor Amy Sims is the best part about coming to Asheville Yoga. I would highly recommend anyone to take her class, from beginners to advanced. She is very knowledgeable and she makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable.
Shaka Worsley, our teacher for the yin yoga intensive, was awesome. In addition to being a great teacher, she was a well organized trainer who allowed time for feedback, practice and reflection. I would defiantly attend another training at the Asheville Yoga Center.

Absolutely love the variety of workshops and series-classes they have scheduled. Extremely helpful that there are sunrise classes everyday. Classes range from beginner to difficult and are usually well spread out throughout the day. Plenty of parking. Smiles welcome you at the door :) Newbies can sign up for 6 classes at a really great rate!

The teachers are warm and welcoming. I attended a 30-hour training and loved that I could keep my mat and supplies in the same spot all weekend. The coffee shop next door is a fantastic bonus.
The best yoga teachers in town (or that I've ever had in general), very thought-provoking classes, and every class I've taken has had some tidbit or info about yoga safety like not overextending, making sure you engage your muscles instead of only stretching, etc... I also always feel pushed to challenge myself! I never would have tried a handstand before going to AYC classes but when it was almost ~expected each class, I got more confident in trying. Love this place!

I am impressed with the quality of the Yoga Nidra Intensive Training I just took at the Asheville Yoga Center. I'm glad the center seeks out such knowledgeable teachers.
I've been a raving fan of AYC for almost 10 years. I always check out studios when I travel, and have never found one that is as excellent as Asheville Yoga Center. I love the community and always feel great when I'm welcomed by the loving staff. Everyone at AYC really walks the talk. I'm forever grateful for Stephanie and all of the amazing teachers and staff. I love AYC!!

I AM grateful for the level of personal growth, awareness and self care I have embodied since beginning my yoga journey here 2 years ago. Yoga is so much more than a concept - it is a way of life and truly understanding yoga is the beginning of truly understanding the self!
Everyone was SO welcoming. The class was awesome. The live music amazing. I will definitely be back and will be looking for another class to compliment the one I took this week and want to carry on with. I called my sister and sister-in-law the next day and told them all about it and that they should come with me!!
What a special place. Greatly benefits my life and yoga practice. Inititially I was turned off by how much the drop in classes cost, but have found it to be so worth it. I do the monthly unlimited now because of how often I try to go. Amazing teachers. Wonderful space. Acoustics are perfect. Rosie teaches early morning on Tuesday and Thursday and could not speak more highly of her. She is magical and has changed my life and practice. Highly recommend.
I just returned from AYC. I was very impressed with the three day seminar on Yoga, Meditation and Neuroscience.
Everyone is super friendly and very serious about yoga. We did a lot of shopping in the boutique. There were restaurants around the studio for when it was time for lunch. Great Experience. I can't wait to go back again.
Libby was fabulous with her low key, folksy instructional method. Senior yoga training (for old farts like me) was informative, protective, and worth every tax deductible penny.

I've just moved to the area so I'm too busy to attend classes like I want right now, but I look forward to settling in with the yogis at AYC once everything gets dialed in!
Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I was traveling through and even the other yogis I was practicing with took the time to wish me luck and thank me for stopping through. It was the first warm shower I had had in a long time and all the facilities were incredibly clean and well kept. It was easy to find, welcoming, and definitely had a family/community feel the moment you walked in. I will definitely return!
Amazing! One of the best in the area. Instructors are top notch, plenty of classes and styles to chose from. Something for everyone! Plus really close to a juice bar, cute coffee bar and Trader Joe's!
I moved to Asheville from California. The yoga at this center is in a category all by itself. I've not ever experienced this connection to myself before while attending these Restorative Classes. Also, the amazing instructors and the people that attend their classes have been such a pleasure.
Warmth, healing, love, and kindness resonates clearly in this space.
