Hello,
Yes, there is reverse discrimination and it is subtle. And more importantly, as I woman I did not feel empowered. It is unfortunate that my children did take swim and gymnastic classes and although some of the teachers were fantastic others had an attitude and were quite rude. There was a feeling of "you are white and you need to settle down/". Discrimination affects everyone! After attending YWCA swim classes for at least 4-5 years, I should not feel that way especially at a Y that supports all women of all ethnicities and race. As for the gymnastics classes, one other parent was just oblivious to her children bullying mine and the teachers tried to settle it however, it was not done effectively so it continued. I left. They take swim and gymnastics classes elsewhere. The only positive comment I can make is that the swim and gymnastics parties were fantastic. For that, I thank the organizers. My children did love their birthday parties which is why I gave two stars otherwise I would have given one star.
