The customer was great. The teachers were very helpful and patient when teaching how to rock climb.

We took the Boy Scout Troop 386 here. The boys had a great time! The tunnels were a hit! They loved crawling around in the interconnected tunnels. The zip line is short, but a lot of fun none the less. The boys were never bored at any moment. This place isn't that big, but they make the most out of the space they have. I was expecting it to smell like a workout gym, but I was pleasantly surprised. It actually smelled very nice. There is a large variety of walls to climb for different skill levels. The staff was friendly and made the training very easy.

AMAZING we had so much fun. My husband and I got a discounted thing off Groupon and I couldn't have been happier. The staff was super helpful genuinely loved what they did and we're having so much fun.

Every thing was safe clean and I felt part of the community

Staff took the time to properly instruct and make sure we felt safe. Female employee even took the time after her shift to take my daughter into the cave system when I couldn't. Cant wait to go back. Three harnesses and shoe rental firms about $30.

it is really bad experience i have. all paths are mixed. they just use stickers to mark the ways and chaotic instead of using same color boulders.hard to find way to start and end.

A lot of fun and an alternative activity for fun and fitness. Very friendly atmosphere, often children bday parties but it doesn't over crowd the place.

I've climbed at plenty of gyms around the nation, and this is the only one with a cave system. Great fun and exercise for exploring, you can spend hours discovering cool things inside!
The gym itself seems to have a great community of people running/supporting it, and some of the routes are great for practicing things like expedition/alpine and hanging belays if you're looking to climb bigger stuff outside. Plus, the rock faces/features are unique.
It's not your typical gym, and that's what makes it great!

Cave system was scary but awesome! Great climbing experience as well. The only downside is it can get overcrowded quick. Other than that we had a blast!

Great indoor rockclimbing facility! The routes range from beginner to advanced and are for both belay and bouldering. There's an indoor cave system, too, for those able to fit through the model crevice. The way it works is that you show up, pay for the day, and rent shoes and harness. The staff give you a 5-10 min primer on how to work the belay rope system, which requires zero knowledge of knots since they use caribiners and assisted braking belay devices. Then, you and your friend try it out to show your skills. It's a lot of fun and they have a true variety of routes, positive, negative, and neutral inclines, negative handholds, ladders, etc.

If you are on your own, bouldering and the cave system are more than sufficient to have a good time, there is even an indoor zip line. There's water for sale and the atmosphere is pretty chill, a lot of ripped college age climbers, but a lot of first timers and couples on dates, too. There are a good number of kids on weekends, as one might expect. It's a great value for the price!

I never knew this place existed until I found it on Groupon and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the employees were super helpful as my family has never tried rock climbing and knew nothing. They were patient and kind. Highly recommend

We just had a "lock in" overnight with Troop 26 from Fort Drum, NY. I honestly thought the boys would tire after a few hours, but we literally had to pull them out of the caves and off of the walls! The caving system was a BLAST (even though I got a little "stuck")! It was pitch black in most places and tight, but I was laughing all of the way through it. The Scouts had a great time on and in the walls and ceilings! We will definitely come back!

It's a great recreation center, I had a great time with my sister there. First time to use indoor rock gym, I'm used to the outdoors one. I will definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested.

Staff was helpful; there are two parts to AIR, rock climbing and the cave system. The rock climbing is great and you can find any pathway that challenges. The cave system is really interesting, pitch black and scary if you're a little broad shoulder such as myself. I barely made it through the "test" pathway, but did qualify. I went through a portion of the caves, but only because a guy I was with lead the way. It's tight! On the other hand, kids have no trouble with the cave system at all. I recommend AIR, just be aware of your own limitations.

Honestly I'd skip the climbing portion entirely, they don't have a great set up for belay routes, but! The cave system is crazy fun and unlike anything I've ever seen; exploring around in there is exhilarating and truly challenging (but still doable for people who aren't particularly athletic, so long as you're at least a little flexible and willing to wriggle through tight spots). If you have kids this is a great place for a birthday party, and if you don't have kids, you might want to try to go when there isn't a birthday party happening, lol

Awesome place! Very friendly staff! The climbing was challenging and fun! The indoor caving and zip-line was phenominal!

Such a cool little gem. Not only do they have a huge variety of rock walls, but they also have an indoor cave system in the walls. You could spend a whole afternoon here for as low as 8 bucks. There is also a pizza place that's great just down the road. Great for birthdays too!

My family and i went here for the first time last weekend. We did not know what to expect. We have a 7 year old and 2 year old. Matt was our instructor and i can not say enough good things about him. He was very patient and thorough. He went above and beyond to help us and to make sure my 7 year old would be safe in the caves. His customer service is exceptional and very much appreciated.

Plus side:
Good deal for the price- They had a great deal on Groupon which made trying it out a real option
Conveniently located right off of Central Ave.
Interesting routes- Good variety of corners, gaps, reclined, and inclined walls.

Down side:
Unorganized routes- Routes are taped meaning you may use a red, white, and purple rock all one the same route, but there is a piece of tape next to each rock. This makes each problem more difficult and frustrating since you really have to map out a route before climbing.
Overused rocks- Most rocks have limited grip still on them from frequent use. This makes even the easiest 5.10 a challenge and requires a lot of chalk.
No designated bouldering area- Bouldering is scattered about the gym and intermixed with lead and top roping walls. The floor has thin 1-2" mats and there are a few 3 -5 inch crash pads that you can pull over. This is also rather dangerous since there is no stopping line and falling is not a good option with the thin crash pads.

Suggestions:
1) Buy rocks of the same color which match in difficulty. Get rid of the confusing tape. This makes you look unorganized and cluttered.
2) Convert one of the sides or sections into straight bouldering. Get thick 8-12 inch pads for this section. Bouldering is more accessible to beginner and intermediate climbers and really helps to build a regular crowd. Any gym I've been too has most always seen more people bouldering than top roping/lead climbing.
3) Play some music. Nothing better than sending to some tunes.

Overall- I don't know that I would go again in the state that this gym is in even for the Groupon price on this. I would love to go here instead of the Latham rock climbing gym location, but some things just need to change.

AIR is a great experience; the employees are very knowledgeable, helpful, and nice. Their space has a great variation of climbs!

Great place for climbing and caving. Denise is the man!

I went here once for a birthday party about a year ago and I had lots of fun in the caves. I tried this place again for my birthday and couldn't go because of a complicated waver system. Not only that, but this place had very poor service, we waited 15 minutes for the staff to do so much as to talk to us and showed arrogance and resentfulness when talking to us. One star.

Had a fun and exciting time with my friend on Sunday! Spent 2 hours climbing and a half an hour in the caves! Fun, technical rock gym and awesome caves!
