I work out here when I am in Rochester. Spectacular gym. Equipment is great, the place is very clean, staff are friendly. Locker rooms are very well maintained. Good smoothies at the food station.

This is not only an amazing athletic club, which gives you much more than any other gym or athletic club in the area, but it is more than just an athletic club too! It has a weight room, pool, classes, courts for all kinds of sports, a theater, a cafe that severs different kinds of foods including alcoholic beverages and will even cater to vegans and gluten free people...and this club also has a social aspect to it as well and hosts events too! Its a really great place to be a member as it will really enrich your life.

Been going to the club for over year. Decided to cancel because the price tag doesn't align with the experience you get here. You'll sign a contract for a year and after that are able to cancel at anytime. But, they make it a nightmare to cancel. I've been communicating back and forth with the business office for some time now and was charged an additional month after being told false information about the cancellation process. I was never sent an email which was confirmed both in my inbox and the business office outbox that I was, apparently, supposed to receive to cancel my membership after speaking to someone on the phone and giving my reason for cancellation. The woman I spoke to on the phone was rude; stating that she does "100's of these a month" and would not have said what I was told on the phone at the beginning of August. I spoke to her again on the phone this morning at around 10:00am. I was told that I would receive a cancellation form to my confirmed email address shortly after. It is now 1230pm and no email. Just know what you are signing up for guys :)

Tldr: be careful before signing up. The price is baffling for what you receive and they only want more of your money after that.

Generally satisfied with my membership. Staff are nice, never overcrowded, all new and maintained equipment and a nice facility.

I do however wish that for the very expensive membership price, amenities included by similarly priced gyms like a staff designated spotter and an adults only pool would earn a 5 star review.

Went here for a book signing and presentation. Had a great time, staff was very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate.

Midtown Atletic Club of Rochester could be a great place for tennis. I want to believe their enthusiasm in teaching younger kids to play tennis is to learn, progress and succeed. Unfortunately kids group lessons are expensive and doesn't include court time.
It's critical to practice what they just learned for at least two hours per lesson. The kids should have court time available to them at Midtown in order to practice with whoevever is available parent, sibling, friend or by themselves. Especially in the winter season it's crucial not only to improve their skills but to keep them interested as well.

Midtown is a great place for people who are interested in developing their mind and body with a diverse group of other members and staff who share similar interests. Midtown has an enthusiastic group of employees who are very positive, encouraging and supportive to your personal growth and development.

Over the years, MT has evolved from the premier tennis club in Rochester to the most comprehensive athletic club with resort amenities in the region. Today MT offers the broadest range of sport facilities, training staff and instructional programs including indoor and outdoor tennis, platform tennis, squash, basketball, pools, saunas; a wide variety of fitness equipment, a full service spa, yoga, pilates, barre, spinning, boxing, and social actives for children, youth and adults of all ages.

In summary, the Midtown community is a strong magnet that attracts and develops positive people who are interested in living healthier and more satisfying lives.

Wow. I can not believe what just happened to me at midtown over the weekend. I have been a member over 10 years and this is unreal. I bought my 3 year old for a private swim lesson, but before that we went swimming together. During the lesson, I went back to change clothes in the family locker room where our clothes were located.. A manager who did not identify herself (later found out that her name was Lisa) came into the family locker room and told me that she did not see any kids with me and that I WAS NOT ALLOWED to be in there. No questions about where my child could have been. Keep in mind, I am African-American and the tone and suggestion was one of disrespect to a member. A visitor or a member should never be treated like that. I contacted the management and informed them what had happened. They emailed this (manager?) and she lied about what she said to me. Who has more of a reason to lie. The management believed her story. I would not have believed this about midtown unless I experienced it myself. This is 2015. No apology from the (manager?) and a cover up to hide her poor management skill and lack of training.
