I've been doing this for 6 months now and while I almost immediately felt better, stronger, and more flexible (and sore) within the first few weeks, I'm starting to really feel how much stronger and I am looking better. The coaching is great, letting you do your thing but still always giving you instruction to improve. The programming has been getting more mature and structured over the past few months as the gym has grown and its been great to see.
It's really awesome, its not cheap but its worth it. Give it a couple months. I tell people anyone can spend $20/month for access to millions of dollars worth of gym equipment. But the hard part is going out and using it; nobody but you will know when you skip a day at the gym.
But what you're paying for with CrossFit is for the more personal attention, motivation and community. You work out with people who become friends, you compete, you test each other, you commiserate with each other, you congratulate and encourage each other and its awesome.
