Awesome gym! High energy, great music. I love all the windows too!

It may seem pricey but classes well worth it. I have taken Barre and vinyasa classes.
The only thing I wish is that it had more yoga classes. On most days there are 3-4 Barre classes a day but could be not one yoga class.

Mbody is the only gym I have been to since the year they opened. Can't go anywhere else. I love the atmosphere, the teachers, and the intensity of the classes!

Walking around University, you notice this giant metal door in front of the building that says M/Body on it. Don't be fooled by this door, as it is an illusion, the real one is around the corner to the fitness facility. I stood there for a couple of minutes knocking, and trying to open those metal doors before I realized it was a fake. That's right, it was time for another Fit Club. This time doing a CycleFunk class at M/Body. Before getting on the bikes, Molly Flaherty (who is the Owner) gave me a complete tour of the facility. Word of Warning to the Wise: Memberships here are NOT cheap, and 3 months of unlimited classes will cost you $379.00.

THE M/BARRE ROOM: Beautiful stained wooden floors, with multiple dance barres. Mirrors around every angle of the room. M/Barre combines Pilates, body weight, and strength conditioning with some yoga and ballet moves to give you sculpted lean muscles--without the impact, risk and injuries ballet dancers often experience.

TRAINING ROOM: Studio Rooms include Boxing Fusion, BootCamp Fusion, Strength Fusion, and Core Fusion Classes. There are boxing gloves, weights, punching bags, and free ropes all around the room. You can do these classes individually, or in a group. Chris J. had a great time getting a one-on-one with one of M/Body's personnel trainers in Strength and Core Fusion.

YOGA ROOM: Brand new, beautifully stained hardwood floors. You can smell the freshness of how new the room is. All the floors are heated to give you a maximized Yoga experience. It felt like doing yoga in a cozy cabin.

CYCLE ROOM: Now this where the real work-out was about to begin. Molly passed the tour torch over to Bear who told me to "hop on my bike!". Now I know what you're thinking, this was not the Bear i was thinking of when going into this class. This Bear goes by the real name of Mary "Bear" Humphrey. She gets this nickname for being a bear on the bicycles. She lead the CycleFunk class into high gear right from the starting pedal. Come ready to party and sweat! The class had the greatest songs combined with high energy, fun and INTENSE cycle drills. There are moments where you are riding your bike, and then standing up and riding. All at the same-time you are changing the speed on your bikes continuously. After about an hour, sweat is pouring off you, and your butt begins to hurt. Bear makes sure you don't cheat during her class, and she made sure i was peddling the ENTIRE time. You will burn those calories, and increase cardiovascular capacity without even realizing you are doing it. The high energy dancing/cycling make this an upbeat modern day work-out.

JUST JUICE 4 LIFE: has moved locations to combine with M/BODY. If you needed to have an ideal juice bar for an after-work-out shake/juice, then this place should be a staple for you. Beautiful stainless-steel juice bar that highlights all the made-from-scratch ingredients in there drinks. I ordered the Kale Ale, which is kale, pear, apple, cucumber, and lemon. Honestly it tasted like i was eating a salad. I am sure most people would appreciate a drink like this, the kale just seemed to overpower any other flavor in the drink. The drink was so green, it reminded me of the Incredible Hulk. This juice place is well-known, just not my style. Afterwards, I felt my thighs/butt burning for days while comforting myself with a KIND Caramel Almond Sea Salt Bar-YUMMIES!

OVERALL: BEAR from CycleFunk, Molly the Owner, Kale What?, The Yoga Room, M/BARRE Room, 90's Dance Music, and The Power to Ride...I Will Be Back.

I joined MBody because I was in Rochester for work for 6 weeks, and I am so sad that I can't bring this gym back with me to Philly! I have enjoyed every work out class I have taken and appreciated how professional, kind, and talented the instructors and staff were. The community atmosphere and empowering vibe of the gym was incredible. I bought an unlimited monthly pass and then paid for 5 hours worth of classes during my last week in Rochester.

Highly recommend these classes/instructors:
M/Body Barre with Gina F., Andrea, Bear, or Gina L.
Cycle with Bear, Molly, or Renee
Boxing with Saadiq
Circuit Training with Liz

I have been to many gyms and there is no place like M Body in Rochester. There is no "selling," just top notch, professional instructors in a friendly, open environment. No matter what your fitness level or age, you will feel welcome and comfortable. The wide variety of classes and the fact that the instructors continually change the routines ensure that you will always be challenged. I never thought I would say I love a gym, but I do love M Body!
