We visit different YMCAs in the Rochester. Monroe family branch remains the most unique one of them. The staffs there are super friendly and helpful. It offers the best gymnastics class and swim class for little kids. Highly recommend!

Great little spot, close to home. Staff is friendly, worth the discounted price, but it's a family gym so if you hate kids do your workouts in the morning or before 2pm to avoid them
Like a lot of other reviewers have said, this is a great place. It's really a community center where little kids, their parents, singles, ancients like me, gym rats, yoga enthusiasts, swimmers, hoops players, retirees, pickleballers and yakkers can do so in a warm, friendly, inviting place. The staff reaches out and gets to know members, quite a contrast with quasi-industrial gyms. And it is one of the anchors of our neighborhood. Gratitude to Amy, Nicole and the entire staff!
It has a wonderful friendly atmosphere. My children have participated in their partial day preschool programs as well as swim lessons and sports sampler and have had a great time.
Broken machinery, cramped and claustrophobic workout room, severely limited hours. Not worth the high cost of a single membership.

I have been a member of this location on and off since I was a little kid. Small location, but does a lot of good for the neighborhood and community. Offers a lot of classes on machines, group exercises, and in the water. There is a pool with a sauna, a safe and clean locker area and showers, and tvs in the (smaller sized) elliptical/treadmill room. Definitely does the job and no costs less than the others in the area. I'd definitely recommend.

Visiting from KC and needed a body pump class. Yay - this place was easy to find, had adequate parking, friendly desk help and a great body pump class. So glad I stopped by!
I love to work and work out here! Right now though, this location is open until 5pm on Sundays and not 2pm as listed here. Thanks!

This is the best YMCA ever! Our son has been participating at Monroe YMCA since 2009. He has taken group swim classes, private swim lessons, indoor soccer (futsal), flag football and loved them all (well, he did not really like the swim classes, but he wouldn't have liked them anywhere else either). He has made great friends playing sports with Monroe. The Monroe YMCA has a great group of staff, families and community members. It's small enough that you will get to know people easily. YMCA staff are friendly and helpful. Please join. You will be glad you did.
