Overall a nice Gym even when it gets too packed people are cool enough to let you jump in their workout. The girls at the bar are nice and prices aren't bad.
Doesnt have a body builder only feel like Golds Gym used to or a cardio only feel like Planet fitness. Nothing against them both but this is a good middle ground.
Memberships are pricey but worth it in my opinion. Equipment is rarely out of service.
The gym is close to my house is one of the few positive things I can say a out the gym. At times the gym is very dirty and unclean. Compared to other LA Fitness I've been to this is by far the worst one. The locker rooms smell and a bunch of lockers have been broken for months. The sauna is always broke or not working properly and you can see it has not been clean properly with seat looking black. The Gym is not worth the money you spend at all. I would recommend looking for another gym. It's sad since other locations I've been too are cheaper and way better kept then this place .
I have been a member of this gym for over two years it's nearby and it has a poo l.The gyms nice because of the atmosphere however they have a problem with keeping regular staffing it seems like every 4 to 6 months there is a new set of staff.However I would recommend the classes Deborah is an instructor there and I attend her aqua fitness class and she's amazing.and people overall who attend the classes at this gym say their amazing the energy is intense in a good way.They have improved some on maintenance but they need more cleaning staff because it's a big gym and flow of members daily is tremendous.
Amazing club . Plenty of equipment- lots of room . This club far has more to offer than any gyms near by. Come and see for your self . Staff helpful and very friendly .
It's a pretty good gym for the price and amenities they offer. I especially love the fact that there's child care. However, the customer service could be drastically improved (with the exception of a few employees). I also wish there were some early am classes, but overall it's a pretty solid gym.
In the beginning it was a really nice place to work out. Good facility, equipment and classes. It was super expensive to sign up but we figured It was well worth it. Now, things have changed for the worst. The classes get changed or rescheduled without notice, you rush to get there and nobody comes, I asked Neal if he knew anything about it, since he is the "sales manager" and he totally dismissed me and said "i just walked in". What kind of unprofessional answer is that. Do your research, look into other gyms not worth the price.
In the beginning this GYM was awesome. But now its nothing but a garbage. The new GM is nothing but an A**hole. They always have some not working equipment and hidden charges. DO NOT TRUST THEIR WORDS. If you want to join please read the contract carefully.
Before you join, read carefully! I was searching for a gym and when I came to LA Fitness, Neal (the managger) convinced me to join, and said that they would fix the price for me $25 for me and that I would be able to bring a guest (no additional charge) with me and an additional $10 for child care a month. That would be $35 a month. Neal said "it's the best offer I have and it's only available NOW". Obviously, that was an offer I was not willing to walk away from. I signed up and now they are charging me more and are saying that it's $25 for me and an additional charge for guests a month. That no gym charges $25. Don't trust what they tell you. READ EVERYTHING...WORD FOR WORD BEFORE YOU SIGN! This is only one of the complications I've had here. IMPORTANT! If you are on another gym and tell them you were already charged for the month and that you want to wait for the month to end, Don't let them convince you saying that the next month is free( that they won't charge you). Its a hassle with them and you still have to pay a fee to freeze the account for that month and child care is not included. They will still charge for child care and a $10 dollars freezing fee $20. I just don't want them to scam anyone else. They play with your money!

If they can't enforce it (which it seems they can't) then just hire someone just to re-rack the weights. And PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE CHANGE THE MUSIC!! They've been playing same 5 tunes since joining a year a half ago!

I don't know what the big fuss is about when people complain about this gym. It's very spacious and clean. There are lots of machines for several body parts and there's a huge cardio section. The reception staff is nice and there's a juice bar. Lockers are always available. I'm a member a blink and retro fitness and I personally prefer this gym.

For the last couple of months the sauna has been down and there hasn't been any music playing because their system is down and the GM told me that its expensive to fix and they were waiting for corporate to approve. I pay enough money a month for this gym and I don't want the general manager telling me that it's too expensive to fix and there waiting for corporate to approve. I have sent a couple of emails to corporate and they gave me the number for the regional general manager, I called her up and I have yet to receive a phone call from her as of yet. I am currently looking into other options for gyms in my area with a Sauna. Any recommendations??? I would not recommend this gym to anybody.

I've visited this facility several times. I'm from out of town and I use this LA Fitnes every time I come to Queens to visit my brother. The equipment is excellent. I'm really able to get full and varied workouts. BUT the cleanliness and service are terrible. If I could seperate out equipment and cleanliness it would be 5 stars for equipment, 1 star for cleanliness, and 1 star for service. Even when I came right at opening in the morning, the place was filthy. Sinks dirty, paper towels on the floor, no soap in the shower etc. Another thing is that the weights are never re-racked, they are spread out all over the gym. Very difficult to find what you need. I came this morning just after 8:00am which is the supposed opening time, but I waited along with about 70 other people until close to 9:00am when someone finally came.
Gym was still closed when I got here this morning at 8:30AM. Not the first time this has happen. Unacceptable. Other LA fitness locations are more adequately managed.
I like the zumba and the aqua fit classes. The aqua fit has helped me to reduce my cellulite a little bit. Some people don't think it's beneficial, but I like my results so far, and I do feel sore after. I come to the gym every day just for those classes. I wish the zumba started at 6pm, but it's okay. All of the zumba instructors have different routines and use different music, so that makes it fun. Some instructors are easier to follow than others. I will try to use some of the equipment on weekends when I go. Other members are nice for the most part. The womens' sauna is finally fixed.

Not very clean. There is a stale smell as you walk in. The only plus is that there are a lot of machines. No one cleans the machines. You can find a lot of dirt on them. Many times there is no purell disinfectant in the dispenser. I cancelled my membership after 2 months.
Good location. Indoor parking. No staff circulates on the floor to resolve any issues. No one seems to be in charge. I have heard people shouting and cursing out loud and nothing is done about it.
Reports on equipment issues are not responded to promptly or at all.
There is only one manager at the front desk,if any, every other member of the staff is a sales person-strictly sales for new people who want to sign up. If you tell staff of an issue they point you to the manager. There is now a new issue that has still not been addressed-mold on the wall near the personal training area. I notified staff re this several weeks ago and nothing has been done. We all know that mold is dangerous but LA is is no rush to resolve the issue thus endangering their staff and customers! So in sum LA Fitness is mostly interested in new sign ups-not what goes on in the gym.
Biggest wish is that the members would put weights back where they belong. A look ways tripping over plates everywhere, and constantly having to hunt down dumbbells. Always a disaster.
More cable attachments (handles, ropes, etc) would be beautiful as well.
Updated review: 2 stars will be too mean but 3 stars is too much. The good... awesome facility with modern equipments and lots pf options. They have a swimming pool, steam room and/or sauna. Great class choices and times. The bad. The staff. They are only there to get you to sign up for membership. Once you become a member then you are on your own. As per staff, the manager only works Monday to Friday 9 to 5 so if you want to cancel your membership you have to come between those hours. When signing up i was told i would be given a complimentary fitness assessment by a personal trainer. Still waiting on it. The paper towel and sanitizer are always running out so if you get one hold on to it. Overall, you are paying for the LA fitness name not the service.
Don't care for this location gym. Workers don't care or even want to be there plus no one is ever there. The place is messy including ladies bathroom. The weights are never where they should be. The other locations are great because they keep it clean and the workers care.
This place is not well kept. The equipment is always broken, weights are never on racks and cleanliness is not a priority. I've belonged to less expensive gyms that were better maintained. One review said it's not the gyms fault if the member leave weights lying around but it's up to the gym to maintain a safe environment for its members.
Cameron is a very knowledgeable and straightforward guy and the facilities are up to date and very spacious. Hope to work with these guys some more to achieve my goals.
Good trainers, large selection of equipment to use. Has many different classes, I love the water aerobics several days a week. Come join..
Great location, but the people (not workers) in the gym are very rude and disrespectful. Very spacious. The pool is tiny and the first few months opened, they had no lifeguard which is a frightening thought. Their personal trainers are consistently trying to force their programs on you. With their sky rocketing prices I suggest planet fitness, 24 hour or blink fitness instead.
I visited on a guest pass, specifically for the pool. It was a nice gym with friendly staff and a juice bar. It was moderately clean and other gym go'ers were present. My only complaint is that the pool only sported 3 lanes which was kind of a tight fit. Also, at some point some rowdy teenagers arrived and began to play throughout two lanes (including mine) interrupting my workout. The lifeguard seemed to be engrossed with his cellphone and didn't say anything to them.

This gym has a lot of good equipment for its small size. Large parking lot in the basement that I have yet to see filled when equipment breaks it usually is replace in a decent amount of time. However, I have to deduct a few stars due to the cleanliness of the gym. It isn't necessary the equipment that is dirty. But the times I come to this gym there are no paper towels in any of the dispensers ( about 5 or 6 located around the gym equipment). Sometimes the males bathroom have no soap. They have two water fountains and I seen build up of some pink bacteria around the water nossle. Not sure if this is powder or what but from my experience it's due to lack of cleaning it. Other than the upkeep of cleanliness the staff are great and it's mostly a friendly environment.
The pool is very dirty, there is black mold all around the edges, the water tends to be cloudy with hair moving around with you.
People need to wear caps in the pool, it is hygienic,
The regular lifeguard is no longer there, this new one is always sleeping,
that i see people going in to the water without a shower.
This gym is a beautiful and modern with all facilities and is in a great location with very POOR maintenance. What a shame.

When I worked out with the machines there were some that were in need of service and it would take a while before they were fixed. This happened frequently. Now I use the pool and in order to enjoy a swim with clean water I have to be there by 5:15 am. During the summer I took some of the aqua fit classes and they are great. Unfortunately most people do not shower before getting in and most do not wear swimming caps, leaving the pool with hair and body oils that linger for the rest of the day. The jacuzzi was out of order most of the time and now the sauna is closed a lot. There seems to be a consistent life guard. For months after our regular life guard was out, we had different lifeguards and the pool was not opened on time. I agree with some of the reviews about management. They never seem to be aware of the problems even if you have spoken to them before. With proper management, maintenance and rules being enforced the gym would be great.
While the place is new and machines are up to date, the gym is very POORLY managed.
1. The staff never insures the gym rules are enforced such as no weight dropping, weights restocking and etc.
2. Men's Bathroom is not hygienic and unattended.
