I think that the staff here is exceptional. Always helpful and willing to answer any concerns. the fitness instructors are competitive and take good care, and are especially mindful to those they train. There's also something to be said of the family-like atmosphere, it is genuine and respectful.

Great facility, plenty of classes, great staff.
A little surprised with the some of the bad reviews so I feel like I have to go in depth.
If anyone complains about the cancellation, it's because they don't pay attention, seriously. The agreement is only 1 page and straight to the point, and you get a copy of it. They only require 15 days notice to cancel before the next payment is due, it has to be in writing or email. How good is that!? You don't have to buy out your contract or deal with any ridiculous fees. They have the best agreement out of gyms i've been to.

I visited the Ridgewood YMCA and found it clean and staff very friendly. They greeted politely and the atmosphere was family friendly.

The front desk was rude and gave me attitude. She is very stuck up and thinks she owns the whole ymca chain. Her policy strays far from the ymca policies.

I give them one star i really dont know who run this place did some one watch its ok with equipmemt. Internet cleaning??? Teruble internet you going second floor no internet your are in bike no internet runing no internet cleaning at all corners smell bad if someone can left a pc of gum in treadmill you will see for a weeks in same spot , 21 century. No internet how you. Waiting good rating mos rsting you get becouse someone now staff. Becouse of that than you get 5 start otherways every 2 person will give you one star. , new costumers registered first day showing location and later staff see that using wrongly equipment even not going to ask for help. , please if really someone care about this gym before start losing costumers good to fix this issues i mention???!!!! And check equipment its on proper way just today if you look. At leadt 7 of them make noice , shake , and this is from months.

I will say its not all bad the gym is good but with so many parents not paying you have way to many kids that just don't belong here. Especially since the front desk pushes the membership on anyone that they can. They try to push you into a 60 a month plan when kids only cost 150 a year!!! But many parents don't even pay that and some of the teens are just terrible.

Im not talking about the fitness arena but the summer camp itself the camp is bad from what i heard from other people on the internet say and i mean its very bad the policies there are ridiculous and its the SJW policies and then there is the forced activites rule which kids either do these activities or get written up by camp staff and trust me some staff are nice and all but most of them are mediocre so dont go there if you want to be ridiculed

My granddaughter was placed to YMCA in Ridgewood and she was very well taken care of. Always full of activities and games. She is very happy being a member.

Biggest benefit here is the staff that lead classes. John, Kiara, Casey, and Davon are this location's biggest assets and are 10/10.
I would give management 5/10, we have had rude encounters with the manager multiple times and I don't believe they use their space efficiently, which leads to crowded classes, bottleneck areas, and general working out pain points.

Been going for a couple of months. Nice facilities and staff. Relatively quiet. A little expensive / no pool either :( (which could be seen as a nice thing since it mitigates attendees)

DON'T JOIN THIS GYM.With the exception of 2 people the staff in this place are a punch of assholes. When I went to join the gym I specifically asked if my brother who is under 18 can stay with me after hours. They told me yes however 2 days later a manager came and escorted him out, I left with my brother After wasting much of our time we were forced to bring a legal guardian in order to be able to workout after 6. Which just messed up the schedule of our entire house hold. It has been literary 3 days into my second month and I was more than happy to let them charge me for the month when I cancelled. As you see, I was cheated into joining this place and the staff here is so horrible that I didn't even stay to use the month I will be charged for.
