I took Cristina's class here (booked on Classpass) on a Sunday morning and I was only half-impressed. Cristina definitely knew what she was doing, so this isn't a critique of her per se, but as someone who goes to spin classes quite often, I expect a more rigorous class out of a dedicated spin studio compared to say one at my gym. The class was tailored to people that were new to the activity (there's nothing wrong with that, but it just wasn't what I was looking for). Also, the bikes face the street and the studio is fully lit. I prefer a darker environment, maybe with some fun lights so that a) I'm not distracted by other people b) it helps keep me focused on my workout and c) it's just fun. The location is a bit far for me, even though I live in Astoria, and there isn't a lot of non-studio space for your stuff/changing rooms. This place has potential, but I likely won't be back for a while.
