Great Muay Thai/K1 gym. Training is tough, which is good. Both technique and cardio/strength. Good vibe, lots of high level fighters.
Sitan gym is a very good muay thai gym.The trainers are very caring and they see if u are doing things the right way unlike other gyms.
The price is also very reasonable.A "must go to place" for martial artist of any level.
Sitan gym is located up in Astoria and is a great Muay Thai spot near Long Island City. It's been open for over twenty years and the experience of the staff really shows. Head instructor Aziz Nabih is a long time resident of New York City and has a storied amount of experience behind him. He has spent a lot of time in Dutch style kickboxing and is also connected with Sitsongpeenong in Thailand. Sittichai Sitsongpeenong, the multiple Kickboxing and Muay Thai champion trains out of Sitan when he comes to America and Nabih has helped him with his boxing.
Nabih's students including Eddie Cuello, Thiago Azeredo and Rami Ibrahim have all gone on to open solid schools in Long Island, Arizona, and Philadelphia. Nabih also has a large current fight team including Jessica Ng who is slated to fight in the 2018 Pan American games. He's also served as a coach on the USMF (United States Muay Thai Federation) which is pushing Muay Thai into the Olympics.
The gym itself is small but has dedicated trainers and people. Under Nabih's guidance this spot is a diamond in the rough.
Great classes, awesome people and environment. Aziz and Joel are the best!

Amazing place. The trainers spend as much time training the fighters as they do with the beginners. All experience levels are welcome here, world class training.

I spent a few days in NYC and was looking for a Muay Thai Gym in the area to get at least one training day in while traveling. Sitan Gym in Queens charged me a reasonable drop-in fee and I trained with them during their day class.
The workout was amazing and I felt welcome and part of the group. Serious Muay Thai training, down to earth people, great atmosphere.
Great staff , clean facility and well organized work outs.
I have been going to this gym since June and overall it is a great experience. The gym and staff embrace you like a family. The trainers here train you to your limits and beyond. You definitely work up a pool of sweat!
I am proud to call this place home. At Sitan you will find great training partners and instructors who will help you along no matter what your goals are. If you're coming here to fight, you will have a plethora of champions with whom you can train with. If you were just coming here for fun or to lose weight, you will find the same. Either way, be prepared to work!
Man, where can i start this gym is amazing. its a intimate kind of gym. you honestly learn a lot in this place. if you are looking to make Thai boxing a career or just like it for fun i recommend this place. they also offer classes for kids and they work amazingly well with them. Go bust a sweat at this place.

Sitan Gym really pushes you hard--to the point where you want to quit, but, the trainers and the atmosphere there makes you want to go back. Joel is one of the main trainers there and he's easy to get along with and is very helpful and also Mike who is always checking on your form. The instructors and your partners are always there to help you. I had cramps for teh first couple of weeks and one of the instructors(Mike) helped me get rid of them and now I can go throught the classes without worrying about catching cramps much. Personally, I think the lockers rooms could be bigger but there has never been a problem since you're in and out really quick and it doesn't stink. If you want to get fit and learn to fight then this is the place for you.
