Been coming here since it opened, great gym with great people. It's a shame this gym became a victim of gentrification, gonna miss it here - it was like my second home

Went visiting with a friend. The layout and equipment looks well. Has a lot of hard bodies at the gym. The lighting was a bit to dark for me.

cancelled after 12 months, only to find out i was not. the attendant some how renewed me instead. I have to now dispute every charge, follow up with the state AG and credit reporting agencies... please be very careful of their negligence and subsequent finger pointing at non-existent corporate counterparts whom they will refer you to if you come into any problems.

Staff lacks proper information and professionalism. Offered me a plan, assured me it was available, only to tell after we agreed that it was not available and it would cost more.

Not the way to do business. Furthermore, instead of apologizing for the error, became defensive and blamed other people not in the store.

Need better training. Manager not available and the staff was dismissive. Gym will fail if this is not corrected.

I started going to this gym in may 2017, signed up just because they offer group classes. I started going to the classes on Mondays and Tuesdays in the evening after work and noticed the instructors repeat the same exercises week after week. As a certified fitness instructor they should know our bodies adapt to the same exercises. The instructor on Tuesday really needs to engage and lead her class better because she is quick to jump from one exercise to another. She is too busy burning her own calories then to engage with the class. I stop going Tuesday's because of this. Its been a month i haven't gone to the Monday class as well. I make sure to take a mental note of the instructors name that way i do not encounter them in another crunch location. This hub location's setup is not ideal. Norwood's location is more professional and better setup. Friendly employees and have 600 am classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am glad I switch to the norwood's location one month into my membership, since today i showed up here and it was closed for repairs. No email nor a text informing of the closure just a Facebook post. Overall, ok gym!

The staff is super funny, if u need a personal trainer they will help u out with that, you'll just have to pay alittle extra, but there is a lot of equipment u can use.

The gym itself I think is pretty good.
Great assortment of machines and classes are offered too depending on the membership you purchase. BUT the customer service definitely needs improvement!
I purchased my membership online and received a message to expect a follow - up email but I never received one. However, my card was debited immediately. When I showed up to speak to a representative the woman at the desk talked on her cellphone throughout our interaction. Later on I realized that she had given me the wrong membership tag. So before I left I visited the front desk again and was given the wrong membership card a second time. When I brought this to the attention of the customer reprehensive he joked about it but I just wanted what I paid for!

My level of membership also included a t shirt but I was never given one. So I spoke to someone at the front desk again the next day and was simply told that they were all out. The membership I purchased (peak plus) is also supposed to allow me to use other locations as well so tried the other Bronx location (Norwood) only to find out that there are additional problems with my account. The staff at the Norwood location explained to me that the location that I joined at never registered my membership card correctly and so as a result whenever I try to use my membership at other locations that I should be entitled to visit my membership will say that I'm unknown to Crunch?
So I of course immediately returned to the location I joined at and spoke to a customer service representative again there and I was told that this has been happening for a while and was advised to speak to a manger who wasn't in. The representative I spoke to also explained that the manager was aware of the issue. The staff member also advised me to explain this whenever I try to visit another location again. Why the hell should I have to do that! Customer service doesn't exist at Crunch I see. Well to be fair - not at this location.
Provide the services your customer paid for or refund my damn money! This is definitely not over.
8/3/17 filing complaint with BBB at this point and if necessary a small claims lawsuit

This is a good gym if you're just getting started working out or if you like things basic. The front desk staff is very friendly and the gym floor and lockers are kept clean. The number one issue is the weight room area is ALWAYS a mess with weights scattered everywhere, the trainer's don't even re-rack the weights. It makes doing any lifting annoying. Overall it feels like a place where people go because it's cheap but there's no sense of ownership, not even with the trainers who work there.
