I recall when this gym was more presentable under Susan. Decided with Retro Fitness for less money, cleaner. And OMG! To the person who posted about "loud creepy guy", sooo funny! There was also an obnoxious caucasian male when I took a gander of the gym. You lost a good member Barbell Fitness, for a dumbbell.

Best priced gym in the neighborhood. They've got the essentials for a serious workout. Plenty of machines, a lot of free weight equipment, about two dozen treadmills and stationary bikes, and a studio that's available to gym members when there are no classes in it. The studio has kettlebells, medicine balls, ropes, resistance bands, ropes, etc... Bring your own padlock if you want to use the lockers.

My one gripe is that the dumbbells are not clearly labeled, so you'll have to count the plates on a given dumbbell it to find the weight you're looking for. You get better at it as you go along.

Bottom line - great price, has all the essentials, friendly staff. Sign up here if you just need a place to work out and don't care about the fluffy stuff.

Question here ! Love the gym btw ive lost over 12 pounds in the last minth doing cardio but, I want to start lifting weights so when i do become somewhat thin i dont look fragile. I want to know if i can ask the staff to help me firgure out how to properly lift weights. An example would be squading, chest workouts and arm workouts. Thanks !

Reasonable price for training. Have enough equipment and weight for training. Small but compare to location near the train stop and along side of queens blvd, I recommend and I attending here. Class needs other optional payment.
