Nice studio, variety of classes, welcoming instructors, no locker room but not that big of a deal. Just wished they offered hot yoga more than once a week. If they did, I would be a full time member.
This a wonderful much needed studio on the Bronx. The staff is welcoming and warm.
Instructors were great! The yoga and meditation sessions pushed my boundaries and it was donation based, which works for my current life circumstances. The studio is beautiful and clean. The energy is zen. Exactly what I need to balance and center myself.
The atmosphere was perfect. Class size perfect. I did yoga 2 days in a row. Aya I knew from before (amazing) and Muriel today. Both different techniques but so effective. Thank you!
I moved to the Bronx about a year and a half ago and first came to Sweetwater to practice yoga. When I arrived the first time, the person at the desk asked which I class I was coming for and I asked what was being offered at that time. There happened to be a samba class so I tried it and loved it. And through Nyota, I also discovered Egyptian belly dance which I never would have even tried in a million years. So, I guess what I'm saying is that I love the diversity of what's offered. And it's a fun, friendly, relaxed and judgment-free zone in which to take care of your health and try new things.
I love everything about Sweet Water Dance and Yoga. I've loved my yoga classes. Especially Fridays with Eugene. I also enjoy the Sound Bath Meditations. Even walking into the studio I can feel the vibe in the air relaxing me and I leave my stress at the door.

I used a groupon and try different classes love the instructor. Love that a great variety of activities. Will definitely recommend.

I really enjoy the atmosphere here. They are welcoming towards both adults and children. My child attends their ballet classes for toddlers and she absolutely loves it . I highly recommended this to my family and friends !!!!

This place is the worst to take a child, the person in charge is very unprofessional and at the same time very arrogant I think I should take a social education course so that I know how to serve the clients, very bad school I do not recommend it to anyone.

I've been doing yoga for over 11 years between NY and LA, and this is easily one of the most beautiful studios I've seen. A true diamond in the rough in the heart of the south Bronx, to walk by it on the block it could easily be passed by, but do yourself a favor and don't do so. You walk upstairs and inside, and suddenly you're in yoga heaven: Huge, lovely studios with super knowledgeable teachers!

I like that this place is very welcoming and affordable. Has many options for scheduling and the staff is very knowledgeable and nice. I am giving 4 out of 5 because of the baby ballet. I take my niece on Saturdays and even tho the teacher is great and so are the classes, we have not received the full 45 minutes advertised. If the class is delayed, they would still finish it at 11:45 regardless of the time it started. My niece loves the classes but I truly dislike that I make the effort to take her here for such a little time. Everything else is perfect!

love this place, but i have kept quiet for too long, been going for the last year. please re-do the tape so matts are staggered during crowded times, i am tired of getting kicked in the face. who on earth thought it was smart to line up directly behind people. i love you yttp, please fix.

Unprofessional and discourteous management!
After booking a class for a Saturday afternoon, I got a text that Saturday asking if I can make it a for an earlier class, which I could not do as I was working.
After bustling and hurrying to my class, I was told that the class was cancelled because I was the only participant and the instructor was not willing to stay for just one person.
I asked to be refunded and was told by Yosata that the process would cost her and she therefore was not willing to refund me!!!?!!!
The principal is what matters here. If a customer pays for a service and the institution can not render the service every reasonable effort should be made to offer restitution to the customer.
Will be contacting the BBB.

Attractive, spacious facility and warm, helpful staff. The classes are led by competent staff that make them fun and take individual needs into consideration.
It's conveniently close to D and #4 trains.
