I was welcomed to the Lotus family in late 2012. I have been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 9 yrs, the last 7 under Professor Eduardo Santos at Lotus Club New York. The respect, the knowledge, the techniques and intricacies of jiu jitsu are passed on from teacher to student with tremendous care and proficiency. The atmosphere, the spirit of the academy, is truly amazing. We are a community of people learning a beautiful art, working together to help raise each other up, to support personal growth amongst our training partners, our friends and our families. I encourage anyone interested to come and check it out. Bring your friends, bring your families. Come learn with us.

Professor Santos is the best BJJ coach I ever had the pleasure of training under. I took small morning group classes and several private lessons with Professor Santos while living in Astoria. I love the family atmosphere at Lotus club and the individual attention I received from the coaches. I live in NJ now but will definitely be back to visit when in town.
Very pleased to see Lotus Club doing so well. If you're in Astoria or within subway distance definitely go train with Professor Santos.

This is my second home, this gym is a club and a family. Gentle Art Studio is good for those looking to keep fit, as well as learn self defense techniques, which are very applicable to real life. It is also a great place for those looking to compete, as you can get very personal instructions from amazing professors and ranked ibjff athletes, you also get access to seminars with other amazing BJJ athletes from around the world.

Omg I had a great experience learning some techniques about self-defense. They are very organized with schedule, classes and have a fun and cozy enviroment. I would definitely recomment to my friends and family.

My children and I have been training at this dojo for about a year now. From professors to students we have developed a very strong bond with everyone we share the mats with, which motivates us to keep going as often as we can. A really special dojo for both physical and spiritual growth.

As a father of two daughters, self defense has always been important to our family. My oldest daughter joined the kids program and her sister followed soon after. Professor Eduardo, Kelly and Pacheco have empowered them to be confident on and off the mat. They have learned to deal with adversity and challenging situations.
After a few months my wife and I joined them on the mat. I never thought BJJ was for me. We now get to train together as a family. The positive energy at the dojo is a highlight in our weekly activities.
I recommend Lotus to all shapes sizes and ages.. you will not be disappointed.

Great school with the best instructor and awesome classmates. Their flexible schedule makes coming to class so easy. The training is awesome no matter what time of the day you choose to train. Professor Santos is a gentleman and has created a great family feeling to his classroom and all are always welcomed.
