My sons Philip and Maxwell have attended the Karate school and gymnastics program run by Sensei Kris and Kasia for over one year. It has been a joy to watch them grow and develop. Kasia has an extensive background in dealing with Autistic children, she is a BCBA. Kasia has worked tirelessly with my oldest child , Philip . Philip is Autistic/ADHD and Kasia has worked with him for many years, he is turning 9 this year.

Kasia , Kris and their teachers have made a big difference in my boys physical / social development . They have become a lot more mature and confident since starting Gymnastic and Karate. The gym is clean, well run and staffed with caring teachers. Keep your kids busy and physically active , a much better alternative than endless Xbox, Nintendo or Ipad. Highly recommended and for anyone with a special needs child , cannot stress how great a resource Kasia M is , huge help to us. Give them a chance , I think you will be very happy that you did.

The best place in this area! We've been attending their classes for the 3rd year now and all, I see, is constant improvement. Very clean and modern facility with lots of diversified equipment. My children (age 7 and 5) always have so much fun during their classes. They are open five days a week year round.
Besides gymnastics, they also offer Karate classes for both children and adults as well as very intensive Muay Thai classes for adults that I like very much.
Personally I think they have set very high standards, and I don't see any comparable place for my kids around Greenpoint area. As for instructors and staff, I always find them very professional, polite and friendly. Also for the quality of classes they provide they have really good prices. I always strongly recommend this place to everyone who asks.

I use to go there but the teachers are rude

My son took classes here for two months and he seemed to have fun. But around Christmas, New Years holidays one of the instructors was not clear on closing dates when I specifically asked. Apparently it was in a brochure in tiny print on the back...We attempted two times to come to class. Both times it was closed. They didn't answer the phone every time we called during business hours.

I can accept holidays can be challenging but if you are new to a program, clarity is important. What I don't appreciate was how rude the teacher was when challenged about it.

Not only would they not admit any mistakes, an instructor proceeded to get in a fight with me when challenged, telling me my version of events was 'impossible'. Rather than admit any kind of responsibility for the miscommunication, they blamed it on me. Horrible attitude and tone of voice make it challenging to feel good about coming back.

I asked for a refund of January and promptly left. No understanding or flexibility here!! Just plain rudeness. It's a shame as my son seemed to have fun but that's not a way to run a program.
