I initially left a pretty scathing review, but reached out to the team directly and got help with my cancellation issue and have revised it.
The gym is great overall, but I still take issue with the cancellation policies (see other reviews).
Do not join this gym. My husband cancelled his membership well over a year ago. He has a screen shot of the cancellation. Blink refuses to cancel the membership and has been charging him for over a year. Each month he contests it with MasterCard and our account is refunded but we have to go through this every month. Customer service simply doesn't answer the phone. This company has over 500 complaints at the BBB. Do not join this gym - you cannot cancel.
Excellent establishment. Although there is limited space, the machines and free weights available are more than enough to complete most routines. The equipment they have are well maintained and the environment is conducive to a great workout experience.
Everytime I go there, the staff is always ready to help us. Also, they keep the place clean. Keep the good work.
I go between 7am and 4pm never have a problem getting on most machines or weights . Staff is Awesome .

I've been to several different Blink locations and this one is the only one I have complaints about. The weights are never stacked back, the cleaning wipes are always empty, and the changing rooms aren't clean. I live closest to this one, but I prefer to go to the Penn Plaza location or the Bryant Park location.

I have worked out here for more than two years now. People are friendly and they mind their own business but the gym gets really crowded in the evenings and especially on Mondays!

Another planet fitness, if they kept the people that actually loved their job maybe the business would improve. Last time I check I did a hell of good job opening this location as well as 161 location and there was never issues with the bathrooms or customer service. I gave 1 star because after going in and checking it out, it's only gotten worst. However I give 4 stars out of 5 for management taking the time to resolve issues (only taking the time literally). If the sales associate took the time to hear instead of just pushing the membership I would of joined.

Great place to workout but staff and manager sucks.. Cancelled my membership, they remember me cancelling my membership but can't find the paperwork so they continue to charge me and want me to pay...
GET MORE SQUAT RACKS!
95% of this gym is nothing but worthless machines and stupid cardio equipment. The squat racks here are literally always taken. Always. Sometimes have to wait 30+ minutes to get on one. Clearly people use these a lot, so I fail to understand why there are not at least 5 more. Same for bench presses and deadlifting space. Some customers actually lift and don't want to come in and play around on machines.
The gym is what u expect machines weight. I have been to 6 different locations mostly decent. This one in particular extremely unhygienic. The BATHROOMS ARE MOLDED and always running out of paper towel and tissue. I had told the staff about it for 3weeks now. Never changed any thing. One staff member look at the mold said oh we can change one of the although the mold is everywhere now.. I just stop taking showers there...the smell is coming out the bathroom but they still will not change the shower curtains or the vents.

Clean gym with all new equipment. Pretty clean. Price is great. $15 per month for a one location Blink Membership is a steal
Clean and cheap. Peak hours get ridiculously crowed. The staff NEVER teach newcomers about proper etiquette. That gets annoying at times.
I've been to over 10 Blink locations so I have a very practical understanding of what to expect. This location can use some improvements.
Management: Not as friendly as other locations. They sometimes seem annoyed when asked to do things that the job requires. They don't usually have clips available and there seems to be no effort to replace the missing ones. The male bathroom doesn't have toilet paper half of the time and the bathroom stalls need to be repaired because they become unlock very easily. It doesn't smell in the lockerroom and it's large--so at least you have that.
Crowd: The culture here is not like most Blinks. People aren't very courteous--something which is essential in a crowded gym where everyone needs to coordinate in order to have an effective work out. The culture is bit selfish. People seem annoyed when asked how long they'll be. It's a necessary question in city gyms where it's always crowded. Side note: the gays here seem catty and petty (not the case at 125) and a bit rude/jealous (but that's not Blink's fault) -- still a valid point for those who actually come here to work out and not walk around in spandex all day (-:.
Facilities/Epuipment: Pretty standard in terms of Blinks--that's good.
I honestly wish there was a 0 star option. BEWARE of this gym! I have been trying to cancel with them since November 2017. I haven't used there services since then and they didn't cancel my membership because I didn't send the letter via certified mail. I tried endless times to call their SoldierFit back and email them. The amount I owe keeps increasing. They keep threatening to send to collections, but don't because they want the amount to increase and increase. I flew back to NYC for a school event and tried to cancel it in person and they wouldn't let me cancel unless I paid the balance owed which I DON"T OWE because I canceled in November and paid for November and December! I never had this issue and regret that I chose them over Planer Fitness. Choose another gym they are crooks!
Best value for a gym I have seen in the city. The equipment and locker rooms are always clean and the staff is professional and is vigilant to ensure customers receive the best experience possible. It does get crowded during peak hours but that is unavoidable in a city gym.
Clean, polite staff and all necessary machines. It may get a little crowded. Great value for the price!
Intense sales tactic. You will be spammed with emails to sign up and they would tell you all types of false information to get you to sign up. Careful with cancellation policies too. Don't bother trying to contact them because no one at the gym can help you with anything and there is practically no support on email. They take 2 weeks to reply to a simple inquiry... Good luck!
The gym itself is nice. A bit busy but relatively big. Good variety of machines, clean, good temperature for the AC. The problem is the people in here. Because this place is inexpensive, those specific type of people can afford it too. They're just as ghetto as the surrounding neighborhood.
I've been to blink downtown Brooklyn and park slope and this is BY FAR The CLEANEST and FRIENDLIEST blink. They do bathroom and shower checks and clean frequently. I'm always greeted warmly and it really does set the tone for my workout. I didn't notice what a difference it made until I didn't receive it from the other blinks tho park slope is a bit better than downtown no, blink 116th is AGAIN BY FAR the BEST!
I love this gym. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The gym is clean and doesn't smell. It is roomy and convenient to get to.

I found the staff to pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere is no frills but everything you need to have a great workout equipment and locker facilities are up to date and clean. The members are very diverse including age so you can get in and fit in no matter your demographic. I highly recommend this place if your serious about working out and want a pleasant atmosphere at a price you CANNOT BEAT!
Needs to get rid if worthless/unused cardio equipment and machines and bring in a minimum of 4 more squat racks, a couple of straight pull up bars and deadlift platforms would be nice too.
Also, has no bar clips anywhere. I've lifted for close to a decade, been to countless gyms and have yet to encounter one without clips for the bars. Only reason for 3 stars was because it is inexpensive and has bumper plates.
