Been coming for over a year and it's been a great experience. Coaches are all amazing, like Alfie and Megan, creating an environment that keeps you coming back no matter how much you hate the workout that day. Have reached all my fitness goals and met some incredible people. It's a great community.
This place is a scam they say they offer a free 6 week challenge which is actually $100/ week. Intro classes are only very early in the morning or very late in evening. When i found this out and tried to cancel they wouldn't let me out of agreement.
They are set up to take fees and don't care about their members. Better off burning $600 then doing this "free" challenge
Been at WillyB for over a year and I am so grateful to be part of the community. Everyone in class as well as coaches, support you positively. No matter what level you currently at, someone is cheering you on to push yourself and reach your goal. Most importantly, you are taught to learn your body's limits and listen to its needs.
WillyB Crossfit is Thee Place to achieve your fitness goals. Its ran by an Amazing team, who makes you feel part of the team. All the Coaches are exceptional, Motivating, and they're always on top of their Game. They help give you the energy and motivation to complete any task you have ahead of you. WillyB is the Best, Period.
I did the 6 week challenge offered by WillyB and loved the experienced there. I will highlight some of the key points:
1) Coaches: all of them are superb and have the required knowledge to lead crossfit classes. I admire that they learned my name from the very beginning!
2) Training: Small talk, going through the WOD, 3-10 minute warm-up, 15 - 45 minutes WOD - one or two parts, some coaches do stretching at the end or just recommend doing it individually. They use an app to reserve for classes and you can see the WOD at that day - I loved that option as at the begining I had pain in my back and was able to choose class without deadlifts.
3) Classes: three locations, lot of possibilities, as of now: 6:30am, 7:30am, 8:30am, 12pm, 2pm, 5:30pm, 6pm, 6:30pm, 7pm, 7:30pm, 8pm, 8:30pm, less during weekends (but at least 4 options)
4) People: very wide range of fitness level but coaches were able to come up with modifications fast and I always found someone I wanted to beat :-)
5) Premises: big enough, well equiped, at 2 locations 2 showers but never too busy, reasonably clean
Don't offer a free 6 week program and then get upset when I tell you that's why I signed up. I've been going to the gym almost everyday since January and had an interest in trying a new program. But I will definitely be looking elsewhere after the way I was treated.
Since they decided to respond I had to edit this.
The guy holding interviews asked me why I am here and I responded because you had an ad for a free 6 week program. Before I could finish my thought he replied saying "this isn't for you." He was rude and very condesending. Yes most things in my life are free but that is because I know how to hussle. I go into any situation and learn absolutely everything I can and use that information to better to myself. I'm sorry I didn't say I want to look good naked or I want to have more confidence; I figured they were a given. Next time hold phone interviews so that people who are dedicated to fitness like I am won't waste their time traveling over an hour to be talked down to. Be blessed.
I travel out of my neighborhood, just for this gym. All work outs and coaches are great. Popped in for a single class & became a member.

I live in Williamsburg and have been going to WillyB (all three locations) for over a year now and absolutely love it. The facilities are nice, the community is really welcoming, and the coaches push you for an all around great experience. Definitely check them out if you're in the neighborhood or visiting!

I call this a healthy cult and a family! I started WillyB because I wanted a new type of workout, I signed up through a Groupon deal to see what it was about. 2 years later I am a full pledge member, and have successfully dragged a few other friends to join. What I like about this gym is that you do not have to sign up for a month to month, they also have a 10 class package. I am an event planner and my schedule is not consistent, being able to take classes when my schedule allowed it was amazing. Everyone that joins or works here are just so nice and down to earth. All gym locations are clean. They host BBQs, happy hour meet ups, and special classes in parks, they have meal plans and other things for purchase. I never felt pressured to buy or attend anything, which for me is a big plus. You determine how involved you want to be. Classes are 14 people max.. meaning the coach has eyes on every single person and you will not get hurt because you are doing a workout wrong! You have to complete 8 Foundations (beginner) classes which break down each movement that is essential to crossfit before being able to "graduate" into regular crossfit. I took a break due to a separate injury for 6mo, coming back I spoke to the trainers and was able to take a few Foundations classes to relearn the movements and also retrain my muscles. The fact that they suggested this, and cared enough to talk me through the steps meant the world! I have a torn meniscus and I know many people who attend class with other injuries, movements are tailored in those cases and I never feel like the odd ball in class. We cheer each other on, and we sweat together.

This place is great. I had a fitness background, but was entirely new to CrossFit. The trainers took into account my history of injuries and issues with mobility to modify the program to work for me in a healthy and effective way.

I could not be happier with this gym. While I do not take the CrossFit classes at this gym, I am a part of their Barbell Club. The community here is unlike anywhere else and the coaching is amazing.
It is great to work out here. The coaches are knowledgeable, attentive to questions and very good at motivating. When i started it was hard, it can take time to get in to crossfit shape but the secret is to show up, put in the work and the results will come!
The community, coaches, and programming are second to none.
This place will change the way you feel about your fitness.
Laure- If you check their website under the FAQ tab, the terms are pretty clear...They also appear in the waiver you sign before you purchase any membership.
The Coaches here are what makes this box an amazing experience. I can't thank them enough for helping me look at fitness in a whole different way. They are welcoming, knowledgeable, experienced, not to mention, very supportive and caring.
Thank you for helping me with my transformation and changing how I feel about myself. If I could, I would give you 10 stars.
Awesome gym, staff and community! Laure sorry you were unclear on some of those terms, when me and my girlfriend signed up everything was crystal clear with us. Hope to see you soon!
Fun staff. I always get a great workout and have a good time when I'm there. Highly recommended
My favorite CrossFit box in all of Manhattan and Brooklyn! WillyB has a welcoming community, smart coaches, and thoughtful programming. I've been a member for over 2 years and it has completely changed the way I think about about fitness and exercise. I'm stronger than I ever thought possible and am also so grateful for the lifelong friendships I've built through the community.
