Absolutely love this place! I have been coming here since Summer 2019, and cannot be more satisfied with my choice. Instructors and front desk are very welcoming, and you can fully focus on practice during the class. Some courses are challenging (which make people laugh during the class), but definitely necessary to become more flexible and awake. Highly recommend!

Lara is a World Class teacher. Also the way the I was greated and given a tour was very nice. I highly recommend this place based on the teachers the owners have chosen to employ there. Nice location. Very neat and clean.

What a gem of a studio! I serendipitously found it online while looking for an Ashtanga studio more closely situated to where I was staying. From the first day of meeting David, I felt like I had found my NY yoga home. He embodies the principles of sukha and sthira. He's firm yet gentle; experienced yet playful. Everyday I felt like I was learning something new in poses I'd been doing for years. I came away invigorated and couldn't wait to go back the next day and the next and the next...You won't be disappointed! Not to mention you get to practice in a beautiful studio, which has a very grounding and serene quality to it.

A warm nurturing environment. I never tried yoga before and I have herniated discs but the instructors really tried to help me. I have tried a few of the beginner classes and they are all amazing and each instructor is nicer than the next.

First time in this lovely yoga den with great energy and innovative instructors.
Clean professional environment
I've been a member at the House of Jai since the day it opened and I absolutely love it! Every class I've taken is fantastic! The teachers are all friendly and wonderful, and the classes are interesting, different, and a lot of fun. I'm always smiling when I leave class and I always feel like I learned something new and got a great workout. The studio itself is beautiful- its clean, streamlined, and gives a really calm feeling. And the fact that there are multiple studios within House of Jai means that there are always classes going on- I never have to worry about missing a class, because there is always a fabulous one to take! Mats and towels are included with the price of classes, which is super-convenient, especially if you are coming straight from work. And the studio is less expensive than other studios, and you get a LOT more bang for your buck. Its an amazing addition to the Upper East Side and I would recommend it to everyone!
I've never experienced a more welcoming yoga community than I have at the House of Jai. The instructors take effort to know your name and your body - and give amazing alignment cues and hands on adjustments. I'm actually secretly not wanting to post this in fear that word will get out :) but honestly, they know what they're doing.
Perfect or a rice, space, instructors, etc
I was blown away by the facilities, quality of service, and personalized attention at House of Jai. The studio is a true retreat and the space is perfectly conducive to tranquility. As a newcomer to yoga, I felt that my class provided a great balance of individualized attention while enabling me to challenge myself to exceed my boundaries in a comfortable, guided setting. My teacher, Erin, was such a pleasure and she not only worked my flexibility but also my core (she is hilarious!) as she provided refreshing laughter throughout the session. I would highly recommend House of Jai to anyone who is looking for a warm, professional community and an opportunity to evolve their yoga experience, and I cannot wait to go back!
This is a great studio! They offer a variety of classes to suit any level and style of practice. I have taken classes with numerous teachers and always leave amazed at the depth of knowledge and skill of these remarkable people. It is a very beautiful studio, with super friendly staff. I highly recommend it to beginners, the casual yogi, and definitely the seasoned and dedicated practitioner as well.
