There are A lot of bad things I can say about this gym, the most important is that I want in to cancel my membership because of the virus. I don't know if the girl working was incompetent, she assured me my cancelation went thru. Planet fitness charged my about and I never reverenced a cancelation email. Now days, we all need every dollar, planet fitness doesn't Care about its customers. This one needs to go out of business, hopefully it does
I like the place. Staff is friendly and helpful plus the 24/5 hours of operation is unbelievable and very convenient. Only problem is that, at times, the locker room and shower area feels almost like a homeless shelter. Showers are often no very clean, a couple of times I found someone sleeping on a bench in the locker room.
If the locker room area can be made more clear and hospitable that's a 5 star gym.
More than 5 treadmills out of service; and additional 2 treadmills where not even on level ground. The Stairmasters are loud due to lack of proper maintenance; hydro massage beds were out of service, and the massage chairs were weak and didn't work well. Free weights and machine weights were crammed into a small, and poorly ventilated basement.
Typically very clean and lots of nice people that go regularly and that are friendly and help you when you have a question with the machines. I do wish it was.genuinely 24/7 though.
I love this gym! For $10/month it really exceeds all expectations. Its clean and big, machines are great, staff is friendly. I have unfortunately moved to another city and have to cancel my membership - but the location phone seems to be disconnected / or no one is picking up. If anyone from the actual gym is reading this, how do I cancel my membership? I'd hate having to block you guys and mark as insecure with my bank, but reading that many people have had trouble canceling makes me wonder. Thanks in advance and keep up the good work!
My home club. Not the best gym around but the PF Black card for $25 a month which gives unlimited access to PF gyms anywhere in the city is a great deal.
Just come and workout during the early morning or after 7 or 8pm. I love being able to use whatever equipment I need without being bothered.

Good amount of workout equipment, bathrooms/showrrs not always clean
My favorite franchise location in nyc, Ive been to most, this one does not get as crowded, machines are all new, and people keep to theirselves. A+

Excellent for working out at but really not feeling the way you only can sign up for the membership
I went in there i wanted to sign up while we was doing the process the guy just picked up his phone and started talkin so i was like dude thats rude why u talking on the phone he said i dont care i was like i dont care to but thats rude so he came aroud the counter wanted to fight this is so ridiculous
Its cool if you wanna get in and out and do your thing, but it definitely a pretty ghetto establishment with people eating food on the machines and talking loudly on the phone.

Just transferred to this gym, after having used the location in downtown Brooklyn and another in California over the past two years. All things considered, it's the only gym of the 3 I've been to that has all of the equipment I like to use during a workout, which is awesome.
As others have noted, however, the spacing is very cramped. Not necessarily because it was designed poorly, but basically because there are too many machines in a small space, particularly in the basement. This makes walking around awkward and potentially dangerous.
My main issue is with etiquette amongst other gym goers. Some people wipe down equipment, but there's still a large minority who don't. More signs around the gym requesting people to wipe down would be beneficial to everyone. Also, there should be signs up asking people not to monopolize a specific machine for more than 10-15 minutes at a time. I've had people stop me in the middle of lifting for approaching a machine that was vacated and beginning to use it. People should stay at the machine and finish their sets before moving on to other exercises. Management: clearly people could be better educated about proper gym etiquette. Do your part.
Severely overpriced start up cost for membership. The place itself is adequate but it's definitely for beginners. (Dumbells only go up to 60)! The main issue are the people using the gym. Too many cocky advanced weight lifters in there. These dudes need to go to a real power gym. If you I can find a good time to go where it's not crowded, go for it. Blink might be a better choice and it's in the same neighborhood just a few blocks over.
Crystal, the general manager refuses to pick up her phone and won't call back.
Planet Fitness has been charging me a monthly $15 late fee since April 2017. I've been trying to address this issue for months, it is now October 2017 and I am now getting a response about my issue. I lost my debit card back in March 2017 and I went to Planet Fitness to update my billing info (I was just trying to be responsible). It turns out that the employee that updated my billing info did not put my new debit card information as my primary billing info, but as my secondary (which is a backup account in case the first attempt to collect membership payment fails). Of course, the first attempt would fail because it's the debit card that I lost and is the whole reason I went to planet fitness to update my account. It is now 7 months later and the manager now understands the issue and is willing to fix the problem, but is not willing to refund all the late fees I've been charged. I have now been paid over $100 of late fees because of a mistake that a planet fitness employee made (which even the manager expresses that it was due to poor training). I'm not even begin offered a credit. This is super frustrating and disappointing. I've been very patient and respectful throughout the whole process. As a customer, I feel disrespected, and I don't feel valued. I've been trying to get someone to pay attention to this issue for months and have invested so much time to get MY money back.
If you like members rapping out loud, playing "music" over their own iPhone speakers, slamming weights, claiming three machines at a time, hoarding free weights in a corner (and never putting them back), then this place is for you! If you want a peaceful workout and want to be in your own zone, go elsewhere.
Why pay money for a gym membership when you can go to Planet Fitness BedStuy for free! Every single time I've walked in here, the desk staff is either sleeping or sucked into their phone paying no attention to the real world. I've left my card at home numerous times and don't even have to ask them to check me in because I can just walk in and nobody says anything. I'm thinking about canceling my membership to save the $20/month and continue coming here for free.
That being said, this place sucks. The first floor has about 200 cardio machines of which about 10% are ever being used. Then you go downstairs to a tiny basement stuffed with weights and benches with no room to do anything.
Your basic gym. Never too crowded. Real people focusing on themselves and their own fitness. It could be bigger and fancier, but it's got what you need and is a great place to get in shape.
Not all equipments are available. It's moderate. You can definitely stay in shape in there but the weights for the dumbbells end around the 60s. Its adequate. It's good for beginners I guess.
Staff was nice. Place is clean. Love how spacious the locker rooms are. Looking forward to their classes, pe@pf! Great motivation posted throughout gym. Series of TVs on different channels, they we a great distraction (helped take my mind off the pain my body was in so I could finish all my sets!)
