I've been practicing at lighthouse for a very long time and have seen improvements in my practice, meditation and self awareness that I was not able to achieve at other studios. I agree that classes can be intimidating to some, but if you are serious about getting better, leave your ego at the door and come with an open mind. Prepare yourself to be both humbled and inspired by other like minded individuals who have found a place to call home.
Amazing studio space and really clean ,but don't waste your time to go there if you are not a master in yoga, every one is pretty well advanced and the teacher won't waste his time to help you or fix any posture for the one who struggles ...
Excellent yoga school for an integrated practice that is traditional yet modern. A great place to grow as a yogi and learn proper alignment and more challenging postures. The space is really beautiful and the vibe of the people is nice to practice with, too.
I travel a lot and so I'm always in search for the best yoga studio. Sadly, I've been noticing a trend among teachers and studios and that is that they aren't giving any personal attention to their students. I now typically find that instructors will stand in front of the class (some do walk around), but seldom do any of them give valuable personal corrections. That is not the case at Lighthouse. The instructors at Lighthouse are very diligent about teaching proper form and giving personal attention. The instructors are also very welcoming. I highly recommend Lighthouse If you are looking for yoga classes where you can grow your practise.

Jared and Tony do an outstanding job at welcoming each and every student and providing a loving place to learn and have fun doing yoga! I've traveled all around the world and am happy to call this school my home!
It is an amazing feeling to practice with teachers who's personal practice is as masterful as their teaching skills.
For a beginning or advanced yogi the studio has an unpretentious, committed but still playful atmosphere that makes it a gem beyond any other studio in the nyc. Everyone from teachers to fellow students are warm and inviting. I have taken some of the most dynamic and simultaneously relaxing classes at lighthouse. Each class is a journey with sophisticated sequencing, breathing, active movement, and stretching leaving space for personal exploration.
Five stars for this studio, I will continue to trek from the city to Brooklyn just for the occasion.
This is one of my favorite yoga studios ever. Jared McCann is an incredible yoga teacher and person. All the teachers that teach at this school are top notch. I've made trips to NY just to visit his school and take class. You will learn new things about yourself, the postures, yoga in every class and leave feeling like you are floating on a cloud.
