If I could give 0 stars I would. Highly unprofessional, rude and impolite. I went in to get information and I have never felt more unwelcome. If this is the first impression, I can not even imagine how bad the rest of the services could be. The owner seems to obsessed with himself rather than willing to help. I only leave this review because I still can not imagine how it is possible to operate such a so called "high end facility," with such poor manners and ethics.
Extremely unprofessional! I went in for an interview last week, and the person who was suppose to interview me was not present. Mr. Halevy stated he's not even suppose to be doing these interviews right now, as someone else was. Clear lack of interest from the start. Instead of perhaps rescheduling the interview, Mr. Halevy decided to give me and the other interviewee before me, literally a 60 second interview. When the first woman that was interviewed came out a few seconds after she went in I said, hmm okay, maybe she just wasn't suited for the job. I was out of there in literally one minute with no real interview. Why would you have me waste my time and money to come for such a unprofessional ridiculous interview? I am not upset because I didn't get the position. I mean how could I be if I didn't even receive an adequate and legitimate interview? Why wouldn't you just apologize for the inconvenience and reschedule the interview? Who is your HR manager? Why didn't they contact us to reschedule? Nonsense!!!! Who wants to work for a company that doesn't respect or value people's time? And no, do not contact me to remove this review. And yes, I have records of our conversation and meeting so, whatever. And I'm sure you'll create some crafty response as to how I "just wasn't the right candidate" blah blah blah. Hahaha. Also, I sent a thank you email in order to try and remain professional, because that's what you do, you send thank you emails. But nope, it wasn't a pleasure. I was bothered by the experience from the second I walked out the door, but figured, hey, let me still follow up with an email so I at least remain professional on my end.

Erica's spin class on Saturdays will kick your butt! Love the class, love the energy, love the music selection! If you want a fun, high energy workout you need to try her class! Hoping she will start teaching some classes during the week :)

I have been a member of Halevy Life's since 2008, but since I moved from Downtown to West Hollywood last year, I have spent the last year working out at Gold's Gym Hollywood. The staff is really friendly (shout out to Nick from the front desk) and Karen (the GM) makes sure everyone is taken care of. I love this gym!

Really love RPM cycle classes. Saturday morning at 8 AM with Joe is great. Check it out.
Great gym! Good atmosphere, friendly, clean, good range of equipment and average price for membership. However sometimes the DBs are all over the place and mixed up and sometimes it can be a little to busy and you have to que for equipment so I knocked off a star.
It's worth a visit and trying out either way. I tried out a few other gyms before getting a membership here and found them either far to busy, to expensive, or I just straight up didn't like them. So think this is the best out of the bunch in NY .
Oh they also have great classes available at no extra cost of you are a member including hip hop dancing. Just tried the yoga so far and thought it was good.

I have only ever been to Halevy Life so I can't compare it to other companies. There is a big parking lot that always has space, and the gym validates the parking. The staff is friendly, and there are many options for cardio and weight machines. This gym tends so always be pretty busy, and some of the weight machines are really old and difficult to work with. Wanted to charge me $250/hour for physical therapy. No insurance accepted. And then wanted to bill me BEFORE I even saw the physical therapist. Neither of those practices are industry standard.

This place is amazing! I come in, work with my coach for an hour, shower and I'm off to start my day. I love the fact that I have the option of coming in as early as 6 a.m. before I head to work. I've noticed the bathrooms (including the showers) are consistently cleaned after every use and I'm not sure what body wash, shampoo and conditioner they provide for us but I always leave feeling sparkling clean and refreshed! Boldly stating, Halevy Life isn't like any other fitness establishment I've been to. Unlike other gyms, this place has more of an intimate setting. You can work one on one with a coach or in a group session (your preference), which is never more than 5 People. From the uplifting energy of the employees/trainers to the peaceful few other clients training at a time, it's such a chill atmosphere. There's never that awkward feeling of someone else watching and judging your work ethic. With all the space and no high traffic at a time you kind of feel like the place was opened specially for you!
Last December, I tore my ACL leaving me sidelined for a while. With "physical therapy" doing nothing, I suffered the side effect as the depression simply packed on undesired weight. Today marks my 109th day training at Halevy Life and to this date I've found it immensely strategic and effective. My knee was quickly "rehabbed" by the coaches. And the weight is till coming off nice and steady. The staff and coaches are always very pleasant and keep me going when I feel like giving up; truly genuine people. It's evident they really care about their clients. Wish I would've joined much sooner, but I am more than thankful to have joined at all!

Love the SP classes because I do still like to be a little competitive in a class setting, but love the small group and attention provided. Highly recommend for anyone of any fitness level. They have worked with me to bring me back from injury and make me stronger than I have been. Jeff's attention to each client, enthusiasm and creativity are unprecedented.
